Genealogy isn't really researching the dead but researching who set the roots for who you are today.|
Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my father's trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

Added vs Managed
Ive had others transfer memorials to me to manage as they wished to do it, not because I asked. Now that I have them, I am happy to manage them as most are related somehow.
A Bit About Me
I have enjoyed genealogy since 2000. Like to add any cousins to my tree. Like to help people and take pictures of all stones in any cemetery. A lot of the time I am not related to the person's stones that I post but if in Nelson, Washington, Casey or Marion Counties of KY - my children are probably realted.
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.
PLEASE do not post a message below about linking, additions or transfers about a memorial I manage. Click the Edit tab on the memorial that you wish me to edit. Thank you :)

|Old Joseph||Edward E. & Anna L. Wathen (Bethany Cemetery, Jefferson County)|
I spent sometime this weekend "walking" Bethany Cemetery on Dixie Highway. In the process, I found a gravestone in the Mark Section for a Edward E. Wathen (1927-1994, #137489357) and Anna L. Wathen (1933-1999, #137489419). Because F-A-G memorials for them did not exist, I created them.
I, of course, thought of you. If these two individuals are related to you, please let me know and I'll be glad to transfer them to you.

There has been a tomb rock placed and it is very nice. Has his picture on it and everything. I sponsored the page so we could add more photos.
|Beverly Colvin Smith||Alexander Brook Rudd|
Rhonda, I would like to manage Alexander Brook Rudd's findagrave memorial (memorial #6039476). He is my husband's grandfather. There is some incorrect info. on the sight now and I would like to correct it and put his obituary on. Thank you.
|Amy Sheets||James Hanley|
This may be my 3rd great grandfather. He is one of my dead-end kids. Any one out there know about his history? Thank you in advance for your information.
|James and Charlene Mann||Charles Russell Carrico|
Charles Russell Carrico born July 10, 1926 and died March 26,1988 is my father's brother. I would like to have him linked on my dad's page but I can't find a link to put his parents on his page. Can you help me? Thanks, Charlene Mann
|Raymond Mudd||RE: Calvary Cemetery photos|
You are very welcome. BTW, there was a Virginia D. Carrico (1915-2005) buried next to Edmondson Carrico. I don't believe there is a F-A-G memorial for her, but if that is someone you are interested in, let me know and I will send you the photo.

It could be, I don't know, there was not another one on there when I put that one on.
|Bobby Hunt||Abner W. Johnson|
Hi. Got your edit regarding Cave Hill and Eastern entries for Mr. Johnson. The information for his inclusion came from his death certificate, which lists Eastern Cemetery as his burial site, and research of the burial journals and databases, which also show him there.
The databases I have don't show that he was disinterred and reburied in Cave Hill, but I will check at Dr. DiBlasi's lab on my next visit there in a couple of days. If I can find evidence of removal, I'll delete his Eastern entry.
Thanks for bringing to my attention. Caused me to look at the database and show a location within Eastern.
|Joice Lawrence||Thomas Cape|
I saw your Findagrave page for Thomas Cape, and I was wondering if you had anymore information about him. I have a Thomas Cape in my tree who was born 7 Dec 1846, but the date of death is unknown. He is the son of Hiram Cape and Elvira Goin (I have 3 different spellings on this name). If you can help me, that would be great!
Are you by chance related to Catherine A. Wathern who is/was married to Jessie Warden Singleton ? Catherine born 04/09/1876 passed away 07/12/1966 snd Jessie born 02/28/2872 and passed away 05/07/1950. They are in my line. Phil
