A lifelong resident of Salt Lake County, I was born at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional Medical Center) in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
Raised in Millcreek, West Valley City, Murray, Cottonwood Heights, and Kearns, a lifelong dream came to frution on May 12, 2014, when I moved to Salt Lake City. I presently reside in the Liberty Wells neighborhood — a place my ancestors first made their home in 1914.
Family history research led me to discover Find A Grave one day back in August of 2006. I subsequently joined and have greatly enjoyed contributing here since. I feel honored and privileged to be able to help document and memorialize the lives of those who came before me as well as preserve their information for future generations. It is truly a labor of love for me.
When not doing genealogical research, I'm deeply involved in Democratic politics at the local and state levels, serving as a state delegate, county delegate, precinct secretary, and Utah Stonewall Democrats board member. I also enjoy reading, writing (I currently serve as a reporter for Utah Political Capitol and am a contributing writer at KSL.com, the Deseret News, and Building Salt Lake), and listening to '70s and '80s music.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Wells Ward, Salt Lake Granite Stake (formerly the Belvedere Ward, Salt Lake Wells Stake; and Jordan North Second Ward, Salt Lake Jordan North Stake).
Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to one of my memorials.
As for transfers, I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.
If you have time, please leave flowers for my grandfather, Brent Curtis; my grandfather, Norm Gibbons; my grandmother, Gae Gibbons; my aunt, Jane Brandenburg; my uncle, Marc Curtis; and my cousin, Clair Harward
Some ancestors had a magic way
Of leaving trails to climb each day
They had a goal and climbed with care
Faith gave them dreams and a home most fair
So from a land across the sea
They came to a land most promised to be
And lived their lives happy and free
They gave us freedom and a heritage great
Anchoring our souls from a cruel fate
Great thrills and joys their stories bring
Of the lives they lived and the songs they sing
God grant that I may useful be
And meet these dear ones in Eternity

Not sure if I ever replied to this but I'm just seeing it I believe for the first time
I rarely get on here...
yes, Paris and Violet Wimmer are my Grandparents. they are my Fathers parents.
I have quite a bit of family history that I've just acquired since the passing of my sister this last Nov...
It is amazing the history that my grandparents kept, and I can't wait to one day get it set out and entered in so I can see it outlined.

I noticed someone left a message on the second page of the memorial about the date of death. I have it on my Ancestry tree (Gibb-Hanson) as 19 Jan 1884, not 1924 in Silver, Washington, Utah.

Thanks again Ryan.
|Michael Smuda||Marguerite Chandler Daniels|
In October 2008, you created a page (30628429) for Marguerite Pearl Chandler Daniels buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Colma. Could you determine if she is buried near her husband, Worth W Daniels. I have not found a record of where he is buried, but he died in San Mateo in 1976. Since she died in Utah but is buried in Colma, I suspect Worth is also buried there.

Thanks! Leland married my childhood friend and next door neighbor, Jacqueline. I double-dated once with Leland when I was 16 & visiting my relatives in Salina. He was a friend of my date's (Mike Jensen - no relation).
Small world. It's that "6 degrees of separation " although I think it's often much less than that in Utah!
Thanks, again, for transferring my Uncle Art over to me.

Hi, I am a great friend of Irene, Floyd's widow, who grew up in the Inlet, NY area in the Adirondacks. I call her up to ask about the history of the region. I realize this is a strange request, but can you contact me at email@example.com should you learn of her passing? thanks.

|Becki Pond||Arthur Brown Nielsen|
Hello! I am the great granddaughter of Arthur Brown Nielsen. You had a question and I have the answer! Arthur Brown Nielsen died in October 1944 and his burial date is shown as October 1949 in the Draper, Utah cemetery. This is correct! Arthur died in World War II when his plane was shot down over Borneo. His body was not returned to the family for five years. He was buried in 1949.
