|Beth Davies||RE: Jay Anderson Family|
If that means I would have permission to use the photo of the tombstone, I would like that.
|Beth Davies||Jay Anderson Family|
Thank you for adding the tombstone of Jay Anderson and his family to the Pleasant Grove Cemetry(Clayton County, Iowa). We visited the cemetery in 1994 and were shown many of the Davies family graves by the caretaker (who was married to a Davies) but did not see this one and we were not aware of the fire at the time. I had never seen the tombstone. I wanted to clear up a misconception. All the children listed on the tombstone did die in the fire, but there were two more children in the family. One was burned but survived and other was not at home at the time of the fire. Jay's wife, Lydia, was the younger sister of my husband's grandfather.
That was very kind of you to transfer Sr. Madonna's memorial page to me. I have very fond memories of her (as do all of her Dominican College students, I'm sure!). She also had a wonderful laugh. Thank you again! Barb
Thanks for the transfer!
Thanks for the transfer!
|Mark Goebel||RE: Virginia Gremore Ingle|
I have no record showing Virginia Gremore Ingle was buried in Saint Gabriel Cemetery. Up to this point I have not found a death record or place of burial for her. I have baptism and marriage records for her from Saint Gabriel (b: 2 Feb 1867; m: 18 May 1886). The last record I have for her in Crawford County is the 1905 Prairie du Chien Wisconsin State census. She was living in Minneapolis in 1940 after the (1939) death of her husband William James and I can find no death record for her there. I suppose she could have remarried, though being in her 70's, and died with a different Surname.??

Last year you fulfilled several photo requests for me in this cemetery, John Thompson Stoneman, #115651775, and some of his family. I now have 3 other of his relatives in this same cemetery with photo requests, all buried in Lot 9, Block 23, Grave 3. They are Albert Stoneman Long #117695152, his wife, Marjorie, and their son Norman. If by any chance you happen to revisit this cemetery, would you please remember my family. It would be an honored to have one of your beautiful photographs on their memorials.
|James Seidelman||Rev Louis Kaluza|
Would be very thrilled to get any information on Father Louis Kaluza - since I'm still working on the history of the Church in Eastman and need information on previous priests who served there. My nephew Father Victor Feltes is the current priest serving both Sacred Heart in Wauzeka and St. Wenceslaus.
