Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history since 1973. Find A Grave is a great resource. Surnames important to me: Harp, Hoagey, Swavely, Krause, Sheafer, Kline, Keeney, Irvin. Most of our family was in Pennsylvania.

Oakland Cemetery has over 15,000 known interments. The Bureau County Genealogical Society has maps and caretaker records for this cemetery. The BCGS has very good information on all the cemeteries in the county.

I enjoy the search and challenge of finding the graves. Photo requests get my highest priority. When I go out to fulfill a photo request, I photograph all the markers in the family plot. The rules I follow; "Photograph the grave/gravesite "in-situ", or as it appears in that moment in time. The purpose is to show the grave as it is, be it dirty, cluttered, broken, or pristine. It is not your job to clean it, clear it, fix it, or decorate it. The graves are not yours to do as you please. Remember, one person's "good deed" just might be another person's vandalism. Go take lots of photos...but do it like an anthropologist and do not disturb the grave site. -AJ" Mar. 10, 2013

When time permits, if a memorial does not exist I create one. I also search for some records to tie the people together and add a bio. I have a backlog of photos to create memorials. Each trip involves multiple cememteries and normally 300 to 500 photos.

If you would like to use my photos, please ask. I have recently experienced some issues with my photos being used inappropriately. I want to share, but I want to know who, what, where, how? the photos will be used. Transfers and edits, please use the EDIT tab.

Katherine Traser Erbes
I thought Katherines (88217000) maiden name was Gracey from a misspelling of Henry's name in an 1880 census. Henry Traser is buried in the family plot in Red Oak Cemetery in Bureau County Illinois.

I requested a edit of Katherines maiden name.

Mary Lee Harp
I've posted a photo for Mary Lee Eagle Harp but there is no headstone, just the plaque you see. The grave lies next to that of Raymond G. Harp. Do you agree that this is the site? I have a photo of the two graves but it wants to load sidewards. I can send it to you if you reply to my home email so I have your address. She and Raymond are in Section D, to the left as you enter Mt. Zion. They are in the last row (currently) of that section.

Roark & Spiegel Photographs
Thank you very much for taking the photos of Earl and Verda Roark and Ruby and Marvin Spiegel. Earl was my dad's oldest brother. I think that I was ten the last time that I saw him. I live in another state and cannot visit the cemetery. Again, thank you.

Albrecht Cemetery
I believe you are familiar with the Albrecht Cemetery. If so, would you be able to provide directions from Princeton. I will be coming out there on the 22nd of this month and would like to get out there to see it. I do have the GPS coordinates from the cemetery page, but local directions are some times better.

Also, would you know whom I would need to contact to request permission to go onto the property?

Ellen Shaffer & Sophia Kline
Just posted grave photos for Ellen Shaffer & Sophia Kline.

While grabbing theirs, I came across Margaret M. Shaffer (1884-1942) & Thomas F. Shaffer (1880-1919) near Ellen Shaffer's grave. Also, near Sophia Kline's I found Israel Kline (1881-1908) & Rebecca Kline (1873?-1905).

Would you like these posted also? If so, please create the memorial pages and I will post them for you.

Jonas Krause
While looking up information on Jonas, so I could locate his grave, I discovered a Jonas G. Krause in Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown that looks like the dates match. I have pasted the link below. He also has a wife Rebecca, which is linked to his page. Could these be the ones you are looking for?
