Hi there, I'll finally be traveling to Fort Leavenworth for work in early June. Would like to meet and thank you for all your work in both Fort Leavenworth and Leavenworth National Cemeteries. Your thoughts? Mary Ann
|June Ford||Philip S. Brown memorial #112895343|
After leaving a flower for Mr. Brown, I decided to share the information from his death certificate by using the edit feature - but the info was so different that I began to doubt that I have the right person even though I don't see what could be so wrong! I had been trying to learn more about the man who had contacted my relative so many years ago and ended up with 30 years of census plus the death certificate. That man, who was a lawyer in K.C., was born 14 Oct 1933 in PA and died 10 Dec 1921 at home at 1304 E. 12th St in K.C. MO. The info was given by Philip S. Brown Jr. who was born about 1867 according to the census. P.S. Sr was married to Julia A. and I believe she is buried in Elmwood Cem (death cert stated that P.S. was to buried in Elmwood). I think my info is correct but you can see why I am reluctant to just "correct" the memorial!

I just sent an edit for Anna regarding her birth. I read the engraving and I read the death certificate which gives 8 Sept 1894.
Thank you for your contributions.

I am working on J. D. Mason in my family tree. His death certificate has Jesse and Margaret Simpson Mason as his parents. I already edited his dates at this point on your post. Thank you.

|Bryan Anderson||Thomas Agar|
I've learned from findagrave user "Swede" that the grave for Thomas Agar is unmarked. I thought you might want to mention this information in the post for him.
Thanks & have a great weekend. Barbara
