I retired in 2001 after 31 years as an agent with the U.S. Border Patrol and USINS. I also then worked two years on a contract with DHS. I have been active in cemetery research in Clay County, MO, for a number of years. I have also enjoyed doing research to locate the graves of some of the Medal of Honor recipients whose graves were never marked, or who never received the recognition due them.|
Anyone may use any of my photos from Find A Grave for their own historical research. If you need one of my memorials transferred to you, let me know.
Lately, I have been trying to track down the graves of the men of the 4th Iowa Cavalry. I have met some very helpful members, and thank them for everything they have done to help me.

I assume you put in this cemetery, so would you please add that
it is located in Section 8, Twp. 53, R. 30, one-half mile east of Pleasant grove School.
Thanks. Maybe that will help separate it from the other Wilson Cemetery in Clay Co., MO.
|Michael Wood||Merrill Cowee, Harveyville|
Kent, thanks for allowing use of your gravesite photos to others. I have presented your gravestone image of Merrill Cowee, Harveyville Cemetery, on my website dedicated to the memory of the 16th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Civil War regiment. My research shows Merrill enlisted in the 16th OVI for its 90-day service. He then came to Kanasas and served in the 2nd Kansas Cavalry. My site is www.mkwe.com/home and go to the Laid To Rest section. Thanks again! And for your service to our nation!
Thank You so much for adding a Picture of Jimmy for us.

Thank you for the tombstone Picture for Fred Bellew.
I have found that there is another entry for him in same cemetery. I have asked both people to decide who is going to delete their entry and let me know.
I might have to ask you again to put Fred Bellew's tombstone on the other entry.

Hi Kent, Thank you so much for getting a hold of me. Thank you for the kind words about my granddaughter, she is now 8 years old, and is so kind hearted and just as smart as a whip. I would be so happy to add all the information you have for Mr. Pursel, but I would love to transfer him to you and your wife. You could do his memory better than I. I just ask that if a family member does get a hold of you, that you would transfer ( if within Your guidelines) It seems that you have done a Lot of research. I will be transferring now, and I hope that it was not too much trouble for you to get this information to me. Thank you again, and thank you for caring so much about this man and his company. Sue
