|I have been doing genealogy research for about 50 years, found Find-A-Grave within the last year and love the site and decided I could contribute a little by checking what is there with my local cemeteries. I am retired and spend 10+ hours per week on research.|
If anyone sees a memorial for a family member, please contact me and I will transfer it to you. Or if you find an error, let me know and I will correct it.
As I add more pictures of headstones I have decided not to include lists of children that might be on the back of them. Most of those are living people and in this day and age of fraud problems, I am leaving them off for security reasons.

In looking at the online entries for Phoebe E. and Jane Partin Gates, I believe transcribers may have conflated the two entries, since the deaths apparently occurred in the same month. The birthdates and parentage appear to be flipped, with Phoebe E. being the daughter, not the wife, of Temple Gates.

Thank you for your inquiry. I am not a family researcher, but have been working to create memorials for the thousands of unmarked graves in Blandford Cemetery. In looking at my notes, I also was confused by this entry in the online cemetery records (http://www.petersburgcemetery.org/blandford/detail.asp?search=64233) since it did not seem to match the dates of his 2 marriages or the 1850 census. Due to the conflicting information, I created the memorial using the info as is, but did not link her to Temple Gates or his children, since I thought she could just be some other person. I did not find anyone matching her name and age in census records, either. There is another online entry with the following: http://www.petersburgcemetery.org/blandford/detail.asp?search=64232. I will create Jane's memorial and link her to Temple Gates, since it names her as his wife. There are many errors in the online records; when I can, I will check this (as I often do) against the original registers at the state archives. There are no surviving registers prior to the 1840s, which adds to the mystery of where this entry came from.

WOW, you are the best. I was able to add Mother and Spouse so now everyone is linked. Can't thank you enough. Keep up the good work.

On September 25 I put in edit and it says pending so I can not do it again. Usually when I send an edit it happens pretty quick so don't know what happened to this one. Hope you can help. Lewis is my husband's grandmother's brother.
Going to cemeteries is fun. We were just in Trinity and Shasta counties last Sunday and went to four different cemeteries to get some more pictures.
Thanks so much.

I would like to have Lewis's mother and wife added to his memorial. I sent an edit awhile back but maybe I didn't do it right. Anyway hope to have them linked together.
Thanks so much for all you do.

I appreciate the picture on my grandpa's memorial but I have many just like it. When I get the headstone I'll kindly ask you to remove this photo. Don't take it wrong I just don't consider the mortuarys marker as a headstone for anyone. Especially if I know them. 😞 He was my father so it's still hard.

Janet was my cousin. Would you please add her father & Mother to her page.

You'd have to trace back each 'sibling' listed on the bottom and make sure they have the correct parents. That depends on everyone who holds on those memorials making the correct connections to parents. I can't help you there.
