I am a member of the Milford Cemetery Association and my phone number is 972-493-3616. Please call & leave a message if you need assistance.|
I was born in Las Vegas, NV. My father helped build Hoover Dam from 1931-1936. I entered most of the graves in the Milford Cemetery. I also entered all of the Milford Black Cemetery names that I could find by going through death certificates for Ellis County, TX. I hope something that I entered will help you in your search. So many of you out there have helped me. I love doing genealogy. I like the challenge of finding families and linking them together. I will gladly add information to anyone I have entered.
The families I am related to are Nelson from Arkansas, Texas, and California; Reynolds from Arkansas; Tackett from Arkansas; Stricklin,Stricklen,Strickland from Arkansas; Delaney, Dauer, & Taub from Illinois. Thanks for any tidbits of information.

|Mark Parsons||Nelson family|
Coincidentally, as I was looking at Darden graves from Milford, TX on Find a Grave (my fatherís family), I noticed you are related to my Nelson ancestors (my Motherís). My grandmother was Maude Leona Nelson, born in Saline Co., AR in 1891, to George Washington Nelson and Mary Elizabeth Addy. I have the Nelson family back through Marshallís mother Nancy, and the Addy family back to William, born in Ireland in 1750.
Thanks for your service in the Milford Cemetery, and best wishes.
Were John's parents Doc and Meranda Stricklen???
If so we are related and I have had a difficult time finding Stricklen (Strickland) relatives.

I will have to go look at this grave again. I have her as Ella Mae Millsapps as found on their marriage index.
More to come!

Thank you so much for the information. I'm a few thousand miles away in Idaho, so I won't be able to meet, but it's good information for me to put in the family history portfolio I'm compiling for descendants of the Robinson line.
|C. C||Clarence Dawson|
Thank you so much for your extreme efforts to locate and photograph Clarence Dawson's grave in Milford Cemetery . cc

Ha, ha, I know what you mean about "cemetery guru"....I call myself the "cemetery nazi"!
I didn't create Thomas Gilkey's memorial....I requested a photo of his tombstone "HOPING" that whoever created the memorial was correct about his burial location. I'm sorry I sent you on a wild goose chase....I will delete my request. I really didn't know he wasn't buried there, I swear! Thank you for your efforts and for sending me an email letting me know he wasn't buried there, I appreciate it!

Thank you, Angie. I've added the obituary and made the necessary changes to his data.
