I started this account in 2007 because I noticed that a small Jewish cemetery on my daily walking route was not on this site. Though this initial focus was coincidental, the majority of the memorial pages I maintain now are for people interred in Jewish cemeteries in South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

I add memorial pages based on both published obituaries and, when weather and time permit, in-person cemetery visits. Currently my in-person visits are to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood and Crystal Lake Cemetery in North Minneapolis. The photos I take are of the individual's grave site; they are rarely close-up headstone/footstone photos. Nearly all of them include GPS information for anyone who wants to locate the grave themselves.

Unless indicated otherwise, the memorial pages I create are not for my relatives. I am glad to update, transfer, delete or merge memorial pages as needed. I appreciate any additional information or photos that people want to add to the memorial pages. I use the site actively and respond to edits as quickly as I can.
