My ONLY intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever and if that helps YOU find your family, super! |
My paternal gggrandfathers were Alexander Allen (m. Nancy Adeline Branson) AND William Irvin Brewer. Alex Allen lived in Long, OK and died in 1915 in Muldrow, OK. My maternal gggrandfathers were Albert Lafayette Rogers buried in King Cemetery, Franklin Co, Arkansas and John Henry McGee.
Thanks to Teena Cantrell for helping me find my great-great-great grandparents John Pitcher and Polly Allen. And Thanks to Alvin Derby and Betty Taylor Thompson for helping me find Camp Meeting Cemetery where they are buried! What a treasure you are!!! All information about Camp Meeting Cemetery is by John Albert Burnett in the 1920's.
Thanks so much to Linda Creamer Furr who passed away June 2012 and Linda from Arkansas for all the biographical information on my entries in Franklin County, Arkansas. All obituaries or other information are credited to "The Johnson County Graphic", the "Sallisaw County Times" newspaper archives, Times Record Online, Agent Funeral Home, Sallisaw, Ok and Ancestry.com.
Remember me, as you pass by,
As you are so was I.
As I am you soon will be.
Prepare in Life for Eternity.
Oh Yeah, Meet you at the East Gate!!!

I have received a request to link parents to a Martin Friedrich Boitel buried at a Sugar Hill Cemetery in Logan County. Have you heard of this cemetery? I just like to check out everything before I link. This is also from someone that has not been part of Find A Grave but a few days.
I am not sure how to reach you be e mail I am desperate to locate my great grandfaters resting place. I have been searching for a while now.... today i have search for 3 hours and counting. I have seen your name on all the graves i have search for both sides of my family. WOW what a treasure you are for this kind of work. I have access to Ancestry.com and unable to locate a resting place for either of my great grandfather/grandmother. do you have any other helpful tips on which direction I should go?... He was a Cherokee Indian he died before OK was a state... do you know of any special area's that Grady County OK may have? I have checked most of that county for grave sites... no luck yet.. checking in Caddo County now. Thank you for all your dedication in doing this beautiful work.

I must say "You are so kind and generous"! Thank you for accepting all of the edits I've sent you. If more people were like you it would be a better world. Your photographs are always sharp and Find A Grave is lucky to have you as a volunteer. Thank you for your help.

In the past couple of years, I have found your name on most of the memorials of my relatives in Franklin and Crawford Co. Ark. I am so truly in your debt for all the work you have done, that has made my quest so much easier. I thank you..David
