Bio and Links
Bio Photo I came to Find A Grave on a genealogical quest. Initially enticed to add my own family entries, I then started looking beyond. Conversing with seasoned biographers on the site lead me to venture into quaint local cemeteries. I became addicted to their quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the sense of accomplishment with every new find. My personal belief is that older markers need to be recorded and photographed for posterity, while still in legible condition. It is my privilege to endeavor to do so.

I continue to seek my extended family history and am delighted to speak with those of similar interest. I am researching the family names Dabney, Trussell, Noland, Winston, Denbrock, Scanlon, Shipman, Frye, King, Ebert, Ream, Alter and Dickinson.

RE: Noland, Ellen
Oh yes, good ole' S&B. I will give it a look the next time I go--I live locally and visit the cemetery quite often.

Dabney Family
I'm so excited to the pictures you have of some of my Dabney family. John Overton & Eliza (Day) Dabney are my 3rd great grandparents. Thanks so much for putting them on findagrave.

RE: George Adams
I've sent links to each of their memorials. I cannot find the mother's grave. Acc to my records neither George or sister Mary Adell were ever married. Thanks. Kathy

RE: Moses & Delilah Trussell
after they moved/built over the cemetery, looks like they saved about 1/3 of the stones. i have not been able to find out if the other stones were too damagaed/unreadable/not present.

the church office did have a burial location map of the original locations, with people and birth/death year. that page will show up on the cemetery listing once it gets approved.

for delilah, the full plot is E-22 x 6, #47 on the map

moses is E-22 x 9, #48 on the map

E is section, 1st number is feet east or west from nearest vertical 50 foot line on map, 2d is north or south of the nearest horizontal 50 foot line

i am going to map a trip to the town library to see if they have anything in writing or pics of the cemetery before the move.

RE: George Hoke
Note there was also an infant buried near George Hoke, stone says George H Hoke, 4 mos, 20 days. I didn't connect them to anyone because I couldn't confirm who he had belonged to, but if you have a tree you could probably could make an educated guess. Date of death looks like Jan 20, 1818.
