| Bio and Links | I have been interested in my family since I was 5 years old, but did not start doing family research until 1990. I have been on staff at the Oakland California Family Search Library from 1991 to the present day. After I retired in 2010 I have had lots of time for family research and in searching for my family I have been many places in the United States and to England and the Netherlands across the big "little" pond. I work with my wife to take pictures and visit cemeteries that she has entered over the years so together we have entered many memorials and pictures.
I'm a native Californian, born in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been married twice and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. | |

 | John M. Trapp - Inglewood Park Cemetery Hi there. I was walking through Inglewood Park Cemetery, taking pictures today, and got one of John M. Trapp's large marker and headstone. I posted it on his memorial since it was a nice clear shot of both markers in the same picture. If you would prefer that I remove the photo, please let me know and I will be happy to do so. | John Otey Hopkins Hi,
Another son for your John Otey Hopkins is his son John Otey Hopkins entry no 5649217, buried at Springhill Cemetery in Nashville. His wife was nee Samantha Belle Dennis, whose father RH Dennis is buried in the Brown -(Dennis) cemetery with your J O Hopkins.
I used to do genealogy a lot. At seminary in Ohio right now and most of my records are at home in Texas. Your JO Hopkins had a first wife and several other children. Drawing a blank on her name, (Elvira, I think), but I will find it and give you the info. She is buried in a tiny little fenced area on Hopkins Hollow down the hill from this cemetery. I have a photo of it on my computer at home. Along with photos from the Brown (-Dennis) cemetery where your JO is buried.. It is a beautiful place on a hill back in the woods! Hard to find, but worth it.
An interesting side story, your J O Hopkins served the South and the North in the Civil War. (I have the docs.) Amanda received a widow's pension since his last service was for the North. | | | Pamela Moyers

 | Denny Trapp Linked Denny's memorial to John's, his father. Linked John with both sons, Denny and Jim. Mabel is not their mother. | | | Stone Branches
 | RE: Bass Family Thanks...No relation to any of them. I have a 1986 cemetery transcription listing for Cedar Grove, they weren't listed, so I set the memorials.
Happy hunting, cousin!
