Bio and Links
Being a huge fan of movies from the Golden Age, I've written articles for four classic film magazines in the past. Currently, I've had pieces on Mickey Rooney, Patty Andrews of the Andrews Sisters, and Doris Day in Cine-Musical magazine, published in Melbourne and distributed world wide. I'm currently working on an article about the 1940's Queen of Technicolor Musicals, Betty Grable. I've also written a Memorial Bio for the great dancer Gene Nelson and hope everyone reading this will visit and leave a token, as well as the Betty Grable Memorial. Cheers~~ Lon +

I think the problem with so few tributes, is he is so far back on the listings, it's very upsetting..I thought Gene was terrific and certainly deserves more recognition.
I had a similiar problem trying to get a character actor (Carmen Filpi) listed; finally another contributer helped me, and got him in; I was just happy someone could do it.
I love the old "Hollywood."
Thanks for writing. Marie

Thank you Lon for your message.
I get very emotional about someone passing on at such an early age.
(I am sure not, the only one)

Thank you for leaving a token for Grégory, that was very thoughtful of you.

RE: Jean Arthur
Hello Lon.
Thank you for the reply...

You CERTAINLY are acquainted with Classic Images, etc...It's been a number of years since I've subscribed, so that's something to put on the "to-do" list ! Bet you may know Dan VanNeste, the wonderful writer of so many fine articles (and a very GOOD book)He is also an appreciator of Dorothy McGuire, so we've corresponded on occasion. Will sure get a copy of your latest article...Thanks again and best always.

Jean Arthur
Hello Lon,
Wanted to thank you for the lovely birthday tribute which you left for Jean Arthur. Miss Arthur is a favorite and also my great-aunt, so I'm no doubt very partial ! Also am a big fan of Dorothy McGuire...again, a superb actress who is little noticed today... Have you heard of FILMS OF THE GOLDEN AGE & CLASSIC IMAGES ? Good reading for classic Hollywood devotees...
Best wishes, and enjoy those wonderful classic masterpieces.
