Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Diana (Sturgis) Greb. My husband, Richard, and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary April 4, 2014. We have 2 daughters and three grandsons.
I have a copy of The Jefferson Cemetery (1861-1990) published by the Willamette Valley Genealogical Society--I am taking the bio information from that book. If anyone wants a complete copy of the infomation, I will be happy to send it to you.
The family names I research are Sturgis, Sturges, Ritter, Spencer, Carnaby, Greb and Schwindt.
I had to add this sunset picture that I took at Maui on August 29, 2009--I love to take sunset pictures--I did NOT do anything to the picture!

You can see copies of the Linn County DCs on the Linn Genealogical Society web

NOTE--I have taken digital pictures of all the DCs that I have added to findagrave. I have taken the DCs (1903-1963) for the following counties--Benton, Crook, Curry, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Lake, Linn, Morrow, Sherman, Wallowa and Wheeler. If you want a DC for someone in those counties, let me know and I will look and see if I can find them for you.

I also give Find a Grave Staff full permission to transfer any of my Memorials to who ever wants them upon my death. Hopefully this will help eliminate What I call Dead Memorials.

Want me to transfer a memorial to you?
I would like to give away every non-related memorial to people who have more information to add, so if you would like me to transfer a memorial to you, don't hesitate to ask; in your request, please include the memorial number (or a link to it) and your own Find-a-Grave member number.

You have put a death certificate in as a picture
and that is not where this would go.
Pls take it down and either I will type in the information with credit to you or you can use the edit button to type in the information and I will copy and paste it in there.
I appreciate your help in this matter
are you related?

Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for posting the death certificates--I had worked on the Smith Family who moved to Oregon in the 1870s and had given up for a time. I came back and discovered the obits. Already some of my questions are answered, but every question that is answered, raises more questions.
My closest blood relative was Elizabeth E Sharp Smith who moved to Oregon in the 1870s--I believe that she came there to marry a widower, William E Smith--but that is just a guess, I have so little actual information. I do know that my great grandfather Commodore Perry Sharp went to Oregon as a scout for wagon trains leaving from St Joe during this time, her father Isaac Sharp and her brother Dennis Sharp made the trip in the 1870s and returned to Kansas the same year--
One of Elizabeth's daughters, or perhaps her stepdaughter who she had raised, died in Salem In the Mental Hospital . Henrietta Smith Devine died on April 8, 1913. (In 1910 she was in Salem and had been there for almost 11 years. I found one short record that gave the cause of her illness as Domestic Afflictions.
In the 1900 census, she was a 24 year old "widow" with 5 children ages 6 to 5 months. I found her husband, Isaac Roseman Devine alive and well living in Washington, his status was married. He died on July 21, 1907 in Lebanon, Linn,
My question is can you find these 2 obits? and do you know how or if I can obtain more some hospital records.
Thank you very much--I don't believe that you caqn know how much we do appreciate the work that we do--it is so hard to find information form half the country away--thanks again---Loneta Boyer

Hi Diana
Thank you for the addition of Sears death certificate. I am not related too, but have worked to make sure all Civil War veterans in Yamhill county plus the state of Oregon are found and recognized.
