Fallen Graver

Sadly, Daniel Allen has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.

Bio

While I have always been fascinated by graveyards, my interest in genealogy started only a few years ago when I started researching my 2nd great grandfather, who died in the Civil War. During that research, I came across this site and my Grandfather Purcell was my first memorial here. Since then, I have found many of my ancestor's gravesites already listed and I have created many more. It's been a fascinating and educating journey.

Most of my father's relatives were of Irish/Scotch/English descent and from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, via Philadelphia, Long Island, and Baltimore. My mother's family was among the early Danish immigrants to the Stonington Peninsula in Delta County, Michigan.

Unfortunately, I am a fair distance from all those places and am unable to regularly visit the graves of my family. Find a Grave is the next best thing. I have found many helpful people here that share my interest in preserving our past.

The names I am actively researching are Petersen, Bonefeld, Hoi, Iversen, Allen, Armstrong, Atkinson, Purcell, Ferry, Pollock, Wood, Wiley, Coe and many others.

TRANSFERS, CORRECTIONS, FAMILY LINKS:
I will gladly transfer any memorial of persons to whom I am not related to anyone that is a relative. If I am related to a person and a requester is a closer relative, I will also be glad to make the transfer. Please make any transfer requests, corrections, or Family linkage requests via the Edit tab on the memorial.

Photos
Please feel free to use any of the photos I have posted. If you have a better photo of a gravestone or of a person than I have posted, please let me know and I will remove mine.

Obituaries
Please be aware that, while I am happy to post obituaries, I may remove the names of individuals that are still living before posting the obituary. Please do not post photo copies of obituaries to memorials. These should be transcribed and sent to the memorial owner for posting in the bio section.
