Bio and Links
Bio Photo While I have always been fascinated by graveyards, my interest in genealogy started only a few years ago when I started researching my 2nd great grandfather, who died in the Civil War. During that research, I came across this site and my Grandfather Purcell was my first memorial here. Since then, I have found many of my ancestor's gravesites already listed and I have created many more. It's been a fascinating and educating journey.

Most of my father's relatives were of Irish/Scotch/English descent and from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, via Philadelphia, Long Island, and Baltimore. My mother's family was among the early Danish immigrants to the Stonington Peninsula in Delta County, Michigan.

Unfortunately, I am a fair distance from all those places and am unable to regularly visit the graves of my family. Find a Grave is the next best thing. I have found many helpful people here that share my interest in preserving our past.

The names I am actively researching are Petersen, Bonefeld, Hoi, Iversen, Allen, Armstrong, Atkinson, Purcell, Ferry, Pollock, Wood, Wiley, Coe and many others.

TRANSFERS, CORRECTIONS, FAMILY LINKS:
I will gladly transfer any memorial of persons to whom I am not related to anyone that is a relative. If I am related to a person and a requestor is a closer relative, I will also be glad to make the transfer. Please make any transfer requests, corrections, or Family linkage requests via the Edit tab on the memorial.

Please be aware that, while I am happy to post obituaries, I will remove the names of individuals that are still living beforehand.

Important: Please include the Memorial Number of parents and spouses when requesting links. I can no longer accept links without this number. I get several requests each day and your update will get done quicker with the memorial number.

Anderson transfers
Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to set up these memorials and then transferring to me. My Anderson family has been a bit of a mystery so this is a big step in my journey to learning more about my family.

Transfer
Hi Daniel Allen,
I was wondering if you could transfer Robert Detemple to me. He is my dads cousin.

Purdy/McCOOL Family
Daniel,

Are you a relation to the Ida May Purdy/McCool family? I seen how many pictures of the people you have posted to memorials? They lived in and around Danville, Ill?

Thanks

Wisconsin Carrolls
Hi Daniel:

Did any of your Carrolls end up in Eau Claire? You have some names that are familiar, and I've been trying to figure out a Carroll connection for some time.

Thank You,
Cori

RE: Witheralls
No problem David. You have acted as a good steward this long, so I was not worried. I did a lot of research on the Witherall family a few years ago. They originated in Massachusetts, and William's branch came to Wisconsin via Vermont. Inez, William's wife, is Inez Knapp. That is an old colonial family too and her mother was Julia Lathrop, another old colonial family. I appreciate the transfer and will connect them all up soon.
Best wishes, David

William and Inez Witherall
Daniel,
Thanks very much for transferring my great grandparents, William and Inez Witherall. William, aka "Dick" was a conductor on the Green Bay and Western Railroad. He was promoted to conductor in 1883 and at his death was the oldest conductor on the railroad. I have much to add. David

Packers and Cornelius M. Murphy
Hi Daniel,

I noticed a photo of Cornelius M. Murphy at a restaurant in Green Bay where I had lunch today. Lots of photos of the Packers there from the Hagemeister Park days of the Packers. I remembered photographing the gravesite at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Check out this excellent video narrated by the son of Cornelius M. Murphy:
