I will have limited computer access during January. I will make all updates as time allows.

When I walk a cemetery, I make a note of other nearby relatives, the section/area I am in and include it in my transcriptions. When you are researching a 'John Smith', it helps to know if there are other 'Smith' names next to him. It is very helpful having any plot information.
Some cemeteries restrict photo taking by non-family members. Having any plot information helps all of the photo volunteers.
When I first started, I just wrote down names without photos. Now I take photos of all of the headstones.
Quite often I find myself researching the folks that I create memorials for, adding additional information and linking as many as I can locate.
As time allows, I am willing to do some Oregon obituary research for others. This is my form of 'Pay It Forward'.

I will make corrections/additions to any memorial that I have created.
All requests are verified before I change the memorial.

Iva Ellen Claggett / Ivy Ellen Claggett appear to be the same person. Her parents seem to have been William D Claggett (1840-1911) and Lucy Ellen Henness (1849-1870) as Henness is the mother’s maiden name shown on the CA death certificate for Ivy/Iva. In 1900 the Welch family lived with Iva/Ivy’s grandfather, not her father, Charles D Claggett
(1813–1902) See the corrections posted on the census record.

Hi Ann -
So glad you are interested in adding this information to her memorial.

Her Oregon death certificate at the Oregon State Archives will provide the actual place of death. I moved out of state in September so I am sorry to say I cannot volunteer to check that for you.

|Robert Pedersen||RE: Spencer buried with Hannon|
Ann, thanks for the prompt response. Yes...I do have a tree under ancestry.com called Pedersen family tree. Also, Minnie was married to Arthur R Spencer (1870-1926). There is no Hannon in my family that I am aware of. The circumstances of Minnie have been quite mysterious and the fact that she is in the plot with Philip Hannon increases the mystery.
|Robert Pedersen||Spencer buried with Hannon|
Ann, I just learned about the Lugnet/Hannon virtual cemetery. I wonder if you know why Minnie Riordan Spencer is buried in the same plot with Philip Hanon and Sarah Kenny. Philip Hanon bought the family plot in which Minnie was the first to be buried. Minnie is my great-grandmother so I'm curious if there's a potential relationship with the Hannon family.
