I am 11th generation direct descendant of Joseph Loomis who settled in Windsor, Connecticut in 1638. Also of Walter Woodworth who came to Massachusetts in 1634. While researching my geneaology, I "stumbled" upon findagrave.com. I am thoroughly enjoying my searches in the cemeteries in northeastern Ohio. Family names I am researching are : Loomis, Woodworth, Johnston, Brady, Irwin, Pardee, Fales.|
When I started this "journey" I was entering only family members. However, I sometimes get "carried away" while connecting them with their extended families. So, therefore, I do have some folks who are not related to me in any way. If you see someone who you would like to take management, I will gladly turn them over if they are not part of my own family.

Hi Nancy, thank you for posting the photos of Julius' headstone and burial plot. It's much appreciated :)
|Deanna Arnett||RE: Bertha Fales- Montville Cemetery|
They were in Montville, Geauga, Ohio in 1880 Census, had 6 children, Fred 14, Byron 12, Fruland 9, Louis 3 and twins Hattie and Hettie 3 months. Fales was transcribed as Tales.
In 1900 Willard 65 and daughter Hattie 20, were in Waynoka, Woods, Oklahoma. He is listed as widower.
In 1910 they are in the same place and he is living with the now married Hattie and her husband, William L Goodale and 3 children, Mertie 12, Earl 8 & Fern 2. (Mertie may be Wms daughter from a prior marriage). Hattie died in 1917, Find A Grave Memorial# 56835348.
I haven't found any info on the death of her parents, Willard & Harriett. I would think that he died in Waynoka, Oklahoma since he was living with her family in 1910.

Thanks for the transfer. I don't ask for transfers, but am always happy to get family members.
Hi Nancy, Very nice to meet you... I'd like to ask your permission to use the photo of John Olds's, Find A Grave ID# 84005063 Headstone on my family tree. I will certainly give you proper credit. Thank you so very much for your consideration with this... ~Tammy

Thank you for the 2 beautiful photos of Ernest Rickard's marker. I'm researching the Rickard family as one of my Great Great Grandmothers was a Rickard. Ernest was one of her brothers. I really do appreciate you going out in the snow to take the photos, they are wonderful!

Nancy, Thank you ever so much for these photo's. They mean the world to me. My Great Great grandparents that took forever to find their names, never mind graves! Would it be possible to have the photo's sent to my email with a larger size & DPI? I would like to play with it to see if I can get more of Norman's. I am not even sure he is buried there, as his death date wasn't inscribed. Now their family is my next brick wall. Thank you for your time & wonderful photo's. You have made my day!
|Michelle||RE: Philips at Godfrey Corners Cemetery|
I took about 25 photos from that cemetery that I have not uploaded yet. The Phillips were kinda sectioned off in the front left hand corner of the cemetery. There were a few more stones in there. The other Phillip's that I took was Asaph Phillips who died November 19, 1877 at 82 years of age. I don't live too far from this cemetery so if Asaph is not who you are looking for just let me know and I will go up and look for her husband or any other ones that you need.

Thank you Nancy,
I too get carried away with extended family members, there is just something about seeing them linked up that give me a good fuzzy feeling. I do it on my own family tree and I keep telling myself that they validate my info. When it comes time to printing the tree I'll see how much the extended family will cost me.
Thank you so much for this validation.
Are you familiar with www.iagenweb.org, so far I am impressed with the Story Co., Genealogy section. You can get to all the states on the site.
|John Holle||RE: Sylvanus Evans|
You are welcome.
I see from your bio that you are a direct descendant of Joseph Loomis. Me too! My great-grandmother Josie was the daughter of Herschel who was from Lodi and moved to Lagrange Indiana.
My daughter moved to Windsor CT a couple of years ago so on a visit I went to the original Loomis home and the graveyard. Quite a thrill for me.
