I love genealogy and am really enjoying posting to FAG. My cousin turned me on to this site, and after discovering so many graves of my ancestors, I wanted to pay back. |
When time allows, I try to find death records and look up census records in order to list family members. Very often, the name on the stone will be only initials, or even a nickname. By finding the death certificates, I am able to enter the persons correct name, along with other information.
I also try to link the family members or, if someone else has entered the memorial, I contact them and ask them to link the members.
I strive to not make mistakes, but if you find some, please let me know and I will make the corrections. If you find your family member, let me know and I can transfer ownership to you. This is all about bringing families together, and I want to help all I can.
At this time, I am working on the Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan, Hood county, Texas. This is going to take quite a while as it is a large cemetery, but it is a joy to do.

|Linda||RE: Haddon Aiken|
Hello Valesca! Thank you for contacting me. No problem about the delay! I appreciate your thoughtful comments about my work. No, Mr. Aiken is not kin to me. I am an amateur JFK researcher (that is, i have not published a book) and have beeen for 40+ years. One one of my hobbies is contributing to or making memorials for the witnesses to the JFK assassination or those associated with it in some way: Texas School Book Depository employees, DPD officers, FBI, Secret Service, and Journalists and Photographers who covered the story and ensuing events. I think it's important to remember these witnesses to history - most of them are gone now - and to complete the historic record including the photo and film record. Are you a relative or family friend? If so would you have a photo of him you could post on his memorial? I have searched but have come up empty handed. You best keep his memorial for someone in his family. But i appreciate the thought! Thanks again!:)

Thank you, Valesca (beautiful name). If any of my relatives get interested in doing this and are of a closer relation of course that's the right thing to do. Besides, keeping peace in the family is very important! Kindest regards to you, Nancy

Thank you. I'll wait another week and then contact them to see if they will make changes or if I can take over to manage.

She was my father's great-great aunt. So I guess my 3rd great aunt?.. Thank you for putting in the updates. I do have a question. What if I have put in requests for corrections and hear nothing after a couple of weeks. What can I do,if anything?
|debra davis||RE: Seland Morris|
Seland Morris' real name is Selena Ann Morris, maiden name Peters. Here birth date is September 22, 1841 in Howard, Missouri. She died died March 22, 1881 in Lipan, Hood Texas.
