Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Memphis, TN, raised in Jackson, MS, and moved to Dallas in 1967.

My father was Jesse Thomas White.

My mother was Clara Vanderberg White .

You are invited to visit their memorials to see their ancestors.

I am addicted to FindaGrave and genealogy research in general. I have had the good fortune to connect with a number of cousins through this website.

Most of my research is tracing family members in Mississippi.... Panola, Quitman, Calhoun, Yalobusha and Hinds Counties.

My Family Names: White, Vanderberg, Vanderburg, Potts, Jenkins and Hupperich.

My wife's family: Pitt, Sapp, and Newcomer's, mostly from Oklahoma, and Baldridge from Tennessee.

"I have never met a cemetery I did not like", and
"I can not go to a cemetery and take just one picture".

I am also a volunteer photo taker at Grove Hill, Restland and Oakland Cemeteries in Dallas.

If I have added one of your family members or family friends, let me know and I will transfer them to you.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION:

A number of the pictures added and memorials created in the Memphis and North Mississippi area have been contributed by my cousin, Becky Vanderburg Abbott.

RE: Douglass Family
Hi Tom, Yes, I sponsored Aileen & Bob Douglass, Sr., and they are family. Thank you for inquiring and also for adding their memorials.

I, too, was born in Memphis (WWII), home of my father's people, Thompsons on the maternal side. Aileen was my grandfather's aunt. I knew Aileen's sister when I was a child, she was my gt.grandmother, and I knew their son, Gen. Bob Douglass, Jr., who later lived in Arkansas.

I appreciate your offering, and yes, I would welcome their transfer if you are comfortable with that. I have recently moved but am hoping to have a new set-up soon for scanning photos & docs I've long planned to add. Isn't Find A Grave wonderful?!

Thanks again, AGP

PS I see Potts is a family name of yours. My father's 1st cousin, a Wellford, married a Potts, both of them from Memphis. I wonder if this rings any bells with you.

Edit request
I received an edit request from you to link Vernon Mooney #117914868 to Jessie Lorene Mooney #117623512. Wanting to know what your source of information is to request this change.

I have some issues with making a connection as they both passed away in Dallas but both are buried in separate cemeteries. Will wait to hear from you before making a change.

Thanks,
G_W
