|My tombstone photos are free to use. I am following in my grandmother's footsteps in our quest of researching our family history. My husband and I live in Baton Rouge, La. My husband retired from the AF in Valdosta, Ga and I spent sometime taking tombstone photos. I loved traveling to Michigan and North Dakota where my parents grew up and researched our family history and taking photos of the family tombstones.|

I fulfilled your photo request for William Bangs in the Glenwood Cemetery, Flint MI. Just so you know, the writing on the monument was pretty well faded away, so I used Photoshop to enhance the letters. Without doing that, the tombstone was pretty much unreadable.

|Bernadette||RE: Joseph Atkinson|
I appreciate the time you spent giving me your research in excruciating detail, and it's truly rich to cite your own family tree posted on Ancestry as your source. I have taken note of the fact that although your explanations are copious, you haven't sent me any idependent verification source.
I've already sent you my source and it's a simple one: I think he was born in England because that's where his military records say he was born.
It's your listing and if you want to claim he was born in Timbuktoo, you can do it. I have no connection whatsoever to Joseph Atkinson and no reason to send an edit other than when I come across a mistake in the course of my research, I assume others want to fix their errors. Obviously, you have a different agenda.

Kathy, do you know how I would go about finding a map of the gravesites in Remerton Cemetery, Lowndes County, Georgia? I've asked at the City Hall, and they claim no one has one. Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

You are welcome. I added a memorial for Robert and Clara(Bronson)Dennison their names are on the other side of Casmir Bronson's headstone. I'm guessing Clara is Casmir's daughter. If you want I'll transfer her memorial to you. JIM

Yes, you may use the photos for your report and Ancestry or Family Search record. This is certainly in line with the purpose of taking these photos in the first place and I am honored to have presented you with an acceptable photo!

This was the first time I have seen a missing death date on the stone of a deceased person. But I am new at this volunteer photography business and I am sure I have not seen it all. Yet! So pleased you have her husband's location now, too.

Please note that Allie's year of death has yet to be inscribed on her stone. Also note that I also added Charles Jake (or Jakes Charles) Freeburn who is buried beside her.

You are very welcome! (When I was taking more photos at the cemetery this morning, there was a graveside service in the next section over for a woman named Lois Barger. I wonder if that is another relative?)
