My interest is in getting the local cemeteries catalogued, photographed, and listed on this site, with family links posted whenever possible. I'm especially eager to get photos of those headstones that are in danger of disappearing due to weather, neglect, or vandalism|
If you notice errors on my submissions, please send me the corrections and I'll make them as soon as possible. If I manage a memorial for one of your relatives and you'd prefer to manage it yourself, let me know and I'll gladly turn it over to you. The only ones I won't transfer are my direct relatives.
I work full-time, but I'm happy to take photos on weekends when I can.
NOTE: If you ask me to include information on a memorial, please explain your sources. I've had people ask me to add information that was actually in error, and I'd prefer not to spread misinformation if at all possible. Thanks for understanding.
If you're requesting a transfer or adding information to a memorial, please use the EDIT tab on the memorial to send me the request/information. It makes it much easier to find which memorial you're talking about. Thank you.

Barbara! You did it again! You found the proper burial site for my Grandmother Ellen and posted the proper pix. I was at LSU at the time she died and was unable to attend the funeral - I always thought she was buried in the same location as my Grandpa Brownlee. You cleared up that mystery!
Keep at it!

Barbara, Thanks a whole bunch for transferring the memorials for my Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ralph Nolan and their children! And thanks for posting the pictures! If I find the memorial for their son Thomas who died in Mobile, I will make a link to the family.
Thanks again! You are appreciated!
Thanks so much for taking photos of the McConnell family mausoleum. I can't see the inscription and which family names and dates are on it. I thought perhaps you have to original photo to see that and might transcribe it for the family graves. Several siblings (linked on FindAGrave) are there.
One is Harriet McConnell:

Barbara, Just realized I already had Grandapa Charles Brownlee's Memorial; transferred to me by Zombie Finder! Sometimes these old cells need a jolt!
Thanks again for the pix!

Barbara, Thanks a million for taking the trouble to locate the tomb and for the photo posts. Before they moved to 407 Delaronde my grandparents lived at 232 Verret - in fact my father was born in that house. Other than having been neighbors, I find no family connection to the others in that tomb. I do remember an old family friend Vera Duntze who was married to Fred Wild and had a summer cottage in Heartsease Park (near Biloxi) near my French grandparents' cottage. She had an aged mother whose name I cannot recall at the moment.
I would definitely appreciate your transferring my grandfather Charles Brownlee's memorial to me!
Thank you again for your kindness!

Thanks for the transfer. I am so excited with the progress on the Bertucci side which is on both sides of my family. Take care and God bless.

Cause of Death was in the cemetery list for most of the people in that cemetery.

Metairie Cemetery is now owned and operated by a company out of Houston known as SCI (Service Corporation International). Famous for the massive amount of paperwork generated for each funeral/burial. I'm sure it keeps the folks there a little too busy for bothersome folks like us :)
