Got interested in cemetery documentation when my son chose cleaning up the Madisonville (LA) cemetery for Easter one year as part of his Parvuli Dei award. Then he selected doing a census of the cemetery as his Eagle Scout project. This got me going on my own family genealogy and as I'm very far from home, I am reliant on the kindness of strangers and undiscovered kinfolk.|
So I will do my best to respond to inquiries for the St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, area and hope others in New York and New England will help me from time to time.

Hi Craig, it's me again, just want to thank you once more for transferring my g-grandmother's memorial to me.
I certainly appreciate all you do in helping others find love ones. Taking all of the pictures you do, and providing information.

I would like to make a request as to my g-grandparents graves.
My G-Grandfather and G-Grandmother Levi W Crow and Permelia Crow, both are buried in Crow Cemetery
St. Tammany Parish Louisiana, USA
And although I am now supporting both of their graves, Find-A-Grave will not let me edit their memorials.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me,
Joyce McNeill Christopher
PS:: If you would, I would also appreciate you transferring these two memorials to me.

I am trying to locate a gravesite for a local soldier, Evert Traver who died at Camp Parapet in February of 1863. It appears that his body was not returned to his home in Rhinebeck, NY.
I think that the soldiers who were buried at the Camp Parapet Cemetery (Shrewsbury) were moved to Chalmette National Cemetery, but he is not listed as a burial on the Find A Grave site.
So, I am wondering is there any location in the cemetery for soldiers who are not identified at all? Or are there other burials that have not yet been entered?
Evert served in the 128th Regiment, NYSV
I am working on display and project of local Civil War veterans. We are focusing on soldiers from whim we have letters written during the war. We have several from Evert. It would be nice to put some of them on a Find A Grave memorial.
Any thoughts or ideas would be most appreciated.
