For the past 20 years I have been on the genealogy staff at the Mesa Arizona FamilySearch Library. We are a regional library of www.familysearch.org. Some of my specialties are internet genealogy research and U.S. military records. I also lecture and teach classes in the Phoenix area communities. I have 35 years of generalogy research experience.
I consider all transfers. I also reserve the choice to follow the 4 generations Find A Grave suggested transfer rules. Please list your profile name and number when requesting a transfer. Thank you.
Please use the memorial EDIT option to make all corrections, additions and transfer requests. Please list the name and memorial number when sending public messages. It is difficult to locate an individual without the memorial number.
"A Birth Certificate, media or family history, will tell that a person was BORN ... A Death Certificate, a memorial, or family history, will tell that he or she have DIED ... but a picture, a story, an obituary – or memorialization via FindAGrave, will tell you what is most important, which is, that they have LIVED"
"Not to know what happened
before we were born is to
remain perpetually a child.
For what is the worth of a
human life unless it is woven
into the life of our ancestors
by the records of our history."
-Cicero (106-43 B.C.)

Thank you for the response. I see what you mean. I will ask the other person to delete their memorial. This is a family member and we are trying to record the correct burials of the 22,000+ people we have documented in the family. We always go with the oldest memorial, but I'll change the records to reflect your memorial as it does have the picture as proof. Again, Thanks!
|Art Hoch||Etta Allan|
Do you know if Etta Allan is a sister of Irene Hoch, buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Basehor, KS and was her surname from a marriage?

|Jeffrey Morris||Lewis Cemetery?|
Where exactly is the Lewis Cemetery in Letcher County? Town name and general directions would be greatly appreciated!
|Shelby Morris||Sally Stamper # 102506614|
Sarah Melvina "Sally" Stamper is my husband's 3rd great grandmother. I would like to maintain her memorial if you are not family. Her husband was Isom Stamper and I already maintain his memorial.
Thanks for your consideration.

The baby is probably Orlando Stidham, born about 1868 because George Jr looks to be about 9 years old. -Sharee Thornberry
|Sharee Thornberry||George Washington Stidham Jr Find A Grave Memorial# 55406673|
The information you have about him and the photo are very thorough and exciting to me. His mother, Sarah Thornberry (Thornsbury), was the sister of my great great grandfather, Mark Edward Thornberry (or whatever spelling version you choose to use). Are you related to them? I have only been researching for about 6 years. I would love to know more about this part of my family. My mother was Elsie Irene Thornberry; her father was Vance Allen Thornberry; his father was William Washington (now I know where the Washington comes from) Thornberry; and his father was Mark Edward Thornberry, brother of Mrs. George Washington Stidham. -Sharee Thornberry

Looks great! The only thing I would change is that my user name is Evie R, not K.
Thanks for the super quick fix!

|Glen Farmer||James Gary Willison|
Hi, I received a request to reomove a memorial for the above named person from Jerd Halcomb Cemetery as they were in the Cornett Branch Cemetery. I could not find a memorial for this person in Cornett Branch. Have a nice day, Glen C Farmer.
