Enrique Nieves Y Garcia, interred at Culebra, PR
First of all, thank you for compiling this information. I know it is a labor of love. Enrique was my grandfather's nephew, and indeed he was, as you have it, the son of Santiago NIEVES COLON and Rosenda GARCIA TORRES. One small note of correction. I have it that Eusebio (d. 06/11/1896), Maria (d. 10/16/1898), Beligras (d. 05/21/1902) and Andres (d. 12/02/1905) were the children of a different couple, Manuel NIEVES and Rosalia/Rosa GARCIA, who just happen to share the same surname combination. Others situated at Culebra who carried the apellidos NIEVES GARCIA were Elvira (d. 01/01/1910) and Jesus (d. 07/12/1915), the children of Jesus NIEVES and Juana GARCIA. In short, there were three different sets of children who carried this particular name. Enrique's natural siblings were Celedonia (a sister, d. 05/26/1989 at Culebra, PR, at the age of 99), Juan (a brother, he was married and resided at Vieques) and Santos (a sister, d. 01/16/1985 at The Virgin Islands, at the age of 85). He also had seven maternal "half" siblings, and four maternal "step" siblings, of whom my grandfather (who resides here with me at Alexandria, Virginia) is the youngest. All the best to you and yours.

RE: Domenech family
I will ask. Her father was Jaime Domenech y Taboada, but you never know, could be related.

Thank you!
Many thanks, de todo corazón. Although now I live in the US, it has been through your work in Puerto Rico that I have slowly and gradually reconnected with my dear family. Thank you again, for making this a reality!!

Jaime O. Domenech
Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures. Jaime was my uncle. He was my mother's half brother on her father's side. I was lucky enough to meet him and he truly was a brave soldier.
