|Rose Lemus||RE: Ladislaus Brnicky|
Please know that there is no Ladislaus recorded at the cemetery and I did check all different spellings.
Is there a memorial for Sophie? I will delete the photo right now.
|Rose Lemus||Ladislaus Brnicky|
Is it possible that Ladislaus is also known as Sophie? I found a Sophie Brnicky, 1908-1986, listed for this cemetery.
If so, then I will be able to get a photo for you but if not, then Ladislaus is not buried at this cemetery.
Please let me know.
No, they are not related to me. The info I found was on Ancestry. SSDI, IL Death records, census, etc. Good luck. Can I help some way?

Angel, I found where you were asking for a picture of James Griffie. Go to John North Cemetery, Dry Hill Ky Leslie Co & you will find one that I had posted on his memorial.

|kinglsat||RE: Walter Hollon Jr.|
I'm sorry I couldn't find Junior for you. When a young family member dies, the parents usually get at least 3 spaces at the time: one for the young person, two for the parents' future use. I've seen it over and over. So there should be three spaces there. But there are only two.
I noticed you have now asked for Calvin and "Mike" has picked up the request. Calvin is there. When I went looking for Junior, we looked over the caretaker's shoulder and we saw Mr. and Mrs. Hollon, Orien, and Calvin. Mr. & Mrs. and Orien are buried right next to the caretaker's office. Calvin is off by himself. But there is no record of a Junior.
Another resource I often use is the U.S. GenWeb Cemetery List: http://www.uscemeteryproj.com/florida/lake/pineforest/pineforest.htm
This also shows Mr.& Mrs., Orien & Calvin, but no Junior.
I correspond often with Judy Llamas, the site creator, and we talked about not finding Junior, and she asked if she should take Junior's memorial down. I told her not to, somebody else might pick up a clue. She hasn't told me what source she used to create the memorial in the first place. But she has spent a LOT of time and effort at Pine Forest Cemetery, and if she says Junior is there, I'd bet he's there. Judy's doing the Appalachian Trail with her husband at the moment, and may not answer your questions promptly. Be patient.
Another option: I notice Junior died in Zellwood, a VERY small town in neighboring Orange County. Here is the address for Conquest Cemetery (not far from my house): http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GSln=Adams&GSiman=1&GScty=28714&CRid=2187119&pt=Conquest%20Cemetery&
He's not listed, but that doesn't mean he isn't there. You could contact the sexton and see if he's there. If he is, I can go photograph him for you.
Can you tell me what your relatives say about Junior's passing? Why they are so sure he's in Pine Forest? What they remember? The name of his funeral home? Anything else that might give me a clue.
P.S. Please forgive me for referring to your relatives as "Junior" and so forth. I mean no disrespect. It's just that this note was long, and I took shortcuts.

|kinglsat||Walter Hollon Jr.|
I was unable to find Walter Jr. in Pine Forest Cemetery, Mt. Dora. The sexton's records show Walter (senior), Harriett, Orien and Calvin. Another cemetery research project agrees: http://www.uscemeteryproj.com/florida/lake/pineforest/pineforest.htm
I have e-mailed Judy Llamas, the Contributor who created Walter Jr.'s memorial, to see if she has any more information. I'll let you know what she says. I see that Walter Jr. died in Zellwood, just a few miles east of here on Hwy 441, so I am going to look for him in Zellwood/Apopka area cemeteries. If I find him, I'll let you know.
I'm going to UNCLAIM the photo request, so if anybody else has any luck, they can add the photo.
If there is something else you would like me to try, let me know.

You are most welcome. My husband and I must have been a strange sight for passerbys as we were out in the cemetery taking these pictures while it was raining!

You're welcome, and try again later.
I do a lot of memorials at national cemeteries and I keep a list of those memorials for which I do not have pictures. I have 108 names on that list, including Irene Hylek, that arn't on the Veteran's Affairs website and all are most likely Cremations that will be buried "at a later date."
Have another great day,
|J. Edward Ross||RE: Irene Hylek|
You may want to remove your photo requst and repost it at a later date. I don't believe she is buried at Abraham Lincoln National Cemertery (yet).
Her obituary states, "Interment will be beside her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (ALNC), Elwood, IL at a later date." Also the VA website, doesn't have her listed as being buried there and they normally list interments within 7 to 10 days of interment. Also the cemetery normally installs an updated marker within 4 to 6 weeks of interment, and she passed away over 8 weeks ago an still doesn't have an updated marker stone. It's likely that she was cremated and is sitting on a family member's fireplace mantle and not at ALNC.
