I've been working on my family tree, and found that I love going looking around cemeteries and getting history lessons. When I find a new grave or unique headstone, I try to take a picture and add it to findagrave. I figure that if I'm looking for my family, maybe someone else is looking for theirs. If I have a relative or friend of yours, feel free to e-mail me, I'll be happy to transfer ownership unless I am also related. When I add a new memorial, I try to locate an obituary to accompany the memorial, if you find something that I haven't, I'll be glad to add the info. Thanks for any help in advanceed|
My family surnames include: Hellums (Helms), Hudspeth, Wages, Harpole, Saxon, Rutledge, Dodson, Beaird, Lollar, Graham, Slaughter, Thompson, Chilcoat, Latham, Parks
My husband's family surnames include: Burdett, Tucker, Storar, Greathouse, McKee, Wilkes, Hildebrand, Abernathy, Hunnicutt, Mathis

|Sue Lee Johnson||Redland Cemetery|
Suzie, I see that you've taken several of the pictures in this cemetery. I've been searching for where my GG grandmother is buried for a long, long time. She died in 1850 in Pontotoc. They didn't start recording death certificates in MS until 1912. I think she must be buried in one of 2 places close to Pontotoc....Redland Cemetery in Pontotoc or Old Monroe Cemetery in Algoma. I noticed that both have lots of old graves at about the same time as her death. Do you know if either of these cemetery's have records of the burials? Do you go to these cemeteries sometime and if so would you look around for a grave for her. Her name is "Mary Ellen Floyd Pannell" 1823-1850.
My husband's maternal family were Mathis's from Ashland, MS.
Any help you can give me will bo SO appreciated!
Sue Lee Johnson

The memorial you put in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown for Jesse Littleton Burdette (60236544) is a duplicate. He is not in Rose Hill - he is buried in Washington Confederate Cemetery (which at one time was part of Rose Hill but now belongs to the State). He is in that cemetery as Littleton Jesse Burdett. Can you please delete this memorial. Thanks.

Mary Jane Hall Adamson is buried next to her husband (Billy)in the Pleasant Grove cemetery in the Union Hill community. If you move the memorial and my photo doesn't move then I will repost. Thanks

I got pics per your request for the Lingo's. I normally clean up the gravestones. I had one surgery 9 days ago and had another surgery on my arm 2 days ago so I could not get down there and clean up the stones this time. I made myself a note to get better pictures when I am able to. I can get a lot better pictures of the stones. It may be a couple weeks though.

Just wanted to let you know I got your message, and will be sending a email now. I hope we sort through Henry Isaac & Margaret "McLarty" Latham children, and hopefully learn more about the children, and grandchildren. Thank you for letting me know you are interested in our family history.
