Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my families for over 30 years. Currently, I'm trying to scan & share a large collection of old family photographs and documents that have come to me from various relatives, mostly my late grandmother.

As I scan & prepare the photographs, I'm trying to post as many as possible to findagrave for others to enjoy. Especially the very old ones. Some that are labeled are not of known family connections so I'm also researching the names in an attempt to identify them.

One that I am very proud of is Jesse Elton McEwen, buried at Palms Woodland Cemetery, Miami-Dade Co FL. It took a fair amount of research to figure out that he is probably not related, but simply a neighbor of an ancestor in Carroll Co GA. I've created a memorial for him with the information I collected. Please visit his site and show him some love.

Another memorial that I'm very proud of is for my ancestor, William Francis Marion Nobles, who died as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas IL. His final resting place is Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Cook Co IL. Please visit him also.

I hope you enjoy visiting my paternal great grandfather, Hilborn Whit Hulsey. My maternal grandfather, Rev Virgil Sizemore, preached his funeral before there was a family connection. My parents were only 10 years old and I don't think they met until a few years later. If you know any of the people mentioned that aren't linked, please let me know.

Surnames I'm connected to include: Adair, Ashworth, Barnett, Beam, Black, Burks, Cates, Clore, Crow, Dickson, Dunson, Estes, Gilbert, Hendrix, Hulsey, Leathers, Lowe, Lyle, McBrayer, McGlathery, Meadors, Mobley, Mote/Motte, Nobles, Pate, Parr, Pinson, Reid, Sanders, Simonton, Sizemore, Stanford, Steele, Stephens, Tomme, Vining, Waldrop, Williams, and others.

Places I'm particularly connected to include: Laurens Co SC, Henry & Clayton Co GA, Carroll & Haralson Co GA, and Blount & Cullman Co AL.

RE: New Reagin
Its been a while, but with an email from a kind lady, she directed me to two brothers of Melvin T. Reagin who is the brother to my Lola M. Reagin. I sent a dna test and yep we are 1C2xR. It feels so good to have found her. Now the big task to find who fathered her child, my grandmother. I have some leads on a family but not as close as I would like. I may never find where they buried Lola since she is listed in the newspaper as Mrs. C. E. Davis instead of her real name. But I'll keep searching.

Rebecca E Hulsey
Hi Debbie,
I am related to a Rebecca Hulsey and I am trying to find her family. I found your information on this family in My Rebecca was born in Alabama too, but died in Florida. She was married to a Jones. My question is how do you know that the Rebecca in this particular family is the one married to a Colvard? It looks like you have really done your research! I thank you for any help that you can give me! Lindsey

I have updated her memorial with the info you requested, however I would really like to know her first name, if you have it. The death certificate I used to enter her memorial did not have it listed. Thanks in advance.

Parr Connection
Hey Debbie! We may have a Parr Connection. My gg-grandmother was Texanna Parr Tolbart. Married John Arthur Tolbart, both are buried in Blount County, Alabama.

She went by different name in the Census...the 1860 Census showed her as Lucinda Paul with Caroline Parr and husband Travis Ivey. then the 1870 census has her as T Parr and listed her being a sister. 1880 Cherokee County Census listed her as being Nannie T. Tolbart with husband John A. Tolbart.

I am night quite convince that Caroline and Texanna are sister. I have a feeling that Texanna could have been born out of wedlock and Caroline could be the mother. It's a mystery for sure.
Looking forward connecting with another Parr cousin.
