I am retired and living with my wife of almost 60 years on the western shores of Lake Whitney in Texas. I have been interested in genealogy for many years but am not a professional. :-) It is a hobby in my old age.|
My paternal lines include: SVACH, HAJEK, DRDLA, RICHTEROVA, and MATEJKOVA among others.
My maternal lines include: LESOVSKY, SHIPEK, SIPEK, KALIVODA, KOCIANOVA, and HREJSOVA among others.
I served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 as an Electronics Technician. I have a BS Degree from University of Illinois in Engineering Physics and a MS Degree from University of Texas at Dallas in Management Information Systems (computers). I also am a radio amateur operator with call sign N5VFO. In addition to computers, researching and surveying cemeteries has become my #1 hobby.
My current title with the Bosque County Historical Commission is Chairman of the Cemetery Committee. I also serve as the Treasurer of the Bosque County Genealogical Society.
If I can be of service to anyone who finds an error in my memorials or would like to have more details added for your loved ones or a transfer to your control, please do not hesitate to send me a personal e-mail with the details and I will respect your wishes, additions, and corrections.

Yes, she did but I'm getting sloppy in my old age. Hope you have better communication with the rest of your requests.
Have a great day

Yes, I know. I saw what I had done after I sent it. I'll send it a bit later. Thanks so much.

Truly, I think you've done such a wonderful, elegant,
and beautiful job. I admire the findAgrave memorials
you've made for your family.
I've been blessed to find and link a lot of my line,
but I don't, sadly, have the photographs to add to
them. So, your memorials made me smile.
May the Lord bless you.

Thank you for the name. We will add him to our list. It is not required they be on Find A Grave, just served in the military, peace or war time and be buried at Westlawn-Hillcrest. Since we don't know for sure, we will err on the side of caution and put one. He did have a draft card.
Please let others know of this project sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326. The more people that know about it, the more complete our list will be. We know many that served in the military have no indication of their service on their grave.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.
