My name is Debbie, I am married to Geo, and I have been searching ancestors for several years now. I have just started looking for the graves. Looking for Thrashers, Jackson, in Southeast Missouri, Grimes (Paducah, KY area, and Wood, Sheehan around Kankakee, IL. It's sad how so many family members just vanished years ago or so it seems.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and at present am searching for the last resting places of many of our C.W. vets. Mary Jane Safford is very dear to my heart. Although not related she was a "Native Daughter" of the county where I have always lived. Her family was very instrumental in the development of Morristown and Hyde Park Vt.She had Revolutionary War grandfathers on both sides of her family, also very early settlers of this area.
I have quite a bit of written material, and documented genealogy lines, but don't have a photo of her grave marker. May I use the one you have contributed to her Find A Grave page? I would like to post it on the Vermont Civil War site,( www.vermontcivilwar.org) This is a non profit, and a very educational site, and beneficial to genealogy seekers. There are thousands of pages on , as it says "Vermont in the Civil War"
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

are you kin to her? Trying to locate Kin

Most welcome, it was my honor to do so.
I can relate, my dog Duchess passed 4 years ago and the deep sense of loss and mourning was no different for me than losing a human family member or close friend.
Feel free to visit my dearest friend Jane if a moment arises. Find A Grave Memorial# 143381594
Merry Christmas to you as well. Thank you.
