I started my research into my family history when I was 15 in Jr. High School. It was a Social Studies project, we were to trace our family history back until we had an ancestor come to America from the "old country". My favorite part of it all is getting to meet my cousins, no matter how distant they are. It's always amazing to me to see family resemblances, what we share, and what makes us unique. Mostly it's the connection that I feel with my very extended family. I love to hear the stories they tell about family members.

My friend Hope Callan and I were in high school together and met up again by accident a few years ago through our sons' Cub Scouts Pack. We learned that we were both heavily interested in genealogy and even went on a few field trips to do research together. We decided that we needed a group here in Lower Bucks County … and that was the start of the Lower Bucks Genealogy Club in 2008.
