I enjoy Find A Grave, a place where I may pay a virtual visit to the graves of my loved ones, and friends, many graves I have never seen. I am pleased to be a contributor so I can create memorials for my family as well as for other families. I am always happy to make changes to existing memorials. The reason I have so many more memorials managed than has been added is a cemetery has been transferred to my care. If you are related to any person whose memorial I manage and wish a transfer, in most cases it will be honored, if not my family. Please use the correct edit for suggested changes.
PLEASE NOTE: Grave markers that I have posted have been added through the courtesy of others. Before copying for any reason, please obtain permission from those who so kindly let me post them. Thanks.
NOTE: FLOWERS AND TOKENS ARE TO SHOW LOVING RESPECT FOR THE DECEASED. DO NOT USE THIS AREA TO POST ANY GENEALOGICAL DATA WHATSOEVER. THERE ARE EDITS ON EACH MEMORIAL FOR THIS PURPOSE. BE REVERENT.
I try my best not to knowingly create a duplicate memorial, but once in a while it does happen. If I have made a duplicate, please use the edit to let me know for removal.
TRANSFER REQUESTS NOT MADE THROUGH THE PROPER EDIT WITH YOUR ID NUMBER WILL BE IGNORED.
Prefer not to make transfers to contributors who will not transfer or who strictly uphold the relative guidelines. Who better to love and care for a memorial than a family member?
Also, I will not transfer to those who create memorials with only a name (little or no other data at all, no married name for females, and burial unknown), just to be "1st" or just to "add numbers." This is not fair to those who spend hours and hours of precious time doing research in order to create a meaningful memorial. In addition, I will not transfer to anyone who knowingly creates duplicates.
When I add an obituary it is typed as is. If a word or name is misspelled it will be typed as such. If I add a word or two of clarification it will appear in brackets. Otherwise, any additional information will be noted separate from the obituary, as should be
PLEASE-You are welcome to use a part of or all of a bio I place on a memorial. If you do tho, PLEASE give me credit with reference to Find A Grave. THANK YOU.
I HAVE NOTICED ON SEVERAL WEBSITES WHERE FAMILY TREES ARE CREATED USING INFORMATION FROM MY BIOS IN FIND A GRAVE OR REFERENCING THE MEMORIAL ADDRESS, WITHOUT ANY NOTE ACKNOWLEDGING CREDIT. Please PLEASE, CREDIT YOUR SOURCE! I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO REMOVE THESE BIOS, BUT WILL IF THIS CONTINUES. Be fair to all and do the right thing. AFTER ALL, COPYING FROM OTHERS WITHOUT CREDIT IS SAME AS STEALING.
CREDIT ALL SOURCES IN YOUR FAMILY TREES AND INDIVIDUAL PAGES---THIS IS ONLY PROPER---THANK YOU. (lt)
RE: J. B. Throckmorton it is no problem. I think you can go thru findagrave administrators and request the deleted memorial be reinstated, and delete the second one. maybe it is the first by date, but it didn't have anything on it. I reloaded my PC and was unsuccessful merging email with new PC email since I didn't name them the same. just got it figured out this weekend and was going thru the old email requests to see if any had not been completed and ran across a transfer request from you. I just received an email from someone that two memorials had been merged and I should change the photo order. not sure, but some maintenance on duplicate memorials may be underway. however, a deleted db record is not purged and should be recoverable. I do understand when someone has done updated links and bio info on one memorial and a 2nd one is found. earlier or not, I'd prefer my initial memorial that has no info be deleted. apparently that isn't the way the process works. I think I know the name of the bourbon county contact who is searching out duplicates and will contact them about the memorial to see if yours is retrievable.
RE: J. B. Throckmorton am confused? found an email requesting transfer so I did it. I did not delete any memorial and cannot delete another's memorial. perhaps findagrave administrators did so, not me.
Mary Catherine Miller Mary's first husband was ? Black. Don't know about their children. Mary's children with Sherman, I'm not sure. There is a Mary Bernice Mooney 04 Jan 1909-24 Feb 1909 and Delbert Mooney 04 Feb 1910-11 Apr 1910 buried in the Whitman, NE Cemetery along with Levah Sophrona Mooney (mother was Sherman's first wife-Sophrona Alice Pugh) and Lula (Mooney) Liggett (Olin Liggett, may be two of missing children. Hope this makes since.
Elizabeth Miller Thank you for your help. Jacob and Elizabeth also had dau. Mary Catherine, born 08 Jan 1871 Harrison Co., MO, Died 05 Mar 1949. My aunt told me she froze to death in the Blizzard of 1949 close to the NE-SD border. She is buried in the Alliance Cemetery, Alliance, Box Butte Co., NE. She married Sherman Grant Mooney. Had 5 children. Thanks again.
Elizabeth Miller I forgot to tell you this: I had my DNA done on ancestry.com. It says I have a strong circle connection with 4 DNA matches, Descendants of Medley Ballard. So I am going to do more research into this. If I find any proof there I will let you know.
Elizabeth Miller Sorry, been busy. Years ago did family history on Tribal Pages. May just have assumed she was Elizabeth Ballard from other people. I know I have the right Jacob Miller because my aunt mentioned uncles Robert and Garland and Aunt Mary. Wish I had asked more questions, but wasn't interested at that time. I have been looking at the Census. Found Adam Miller and Medley Ballard were neighbors and Simon Miller in the same area on the 1860's. Adam's dau. Elizabeth not on the census, but Medley's dau. Elizabeth was still at home, also Jacob was still with his parents. Did Elizabeth Miller die, move out or get married, that is the question? Elizabeth Miller did have a brother, Garland, for which her and Jacob named their son after. Or if the Ballards and Millers were friends, could Jacob Miller and wife Elizabeth Ballard named their son Garland because they liked it? So many scenarios. From what I can find both Miller and Ballard make since, so guess I won't know until I find proof.
