Rosa C Sprague 1898-1965 Though Rosa's husband was Franklin Pierce Sprague, the one buried in Rest Haven that you have listed as a spouse is actually her son Frank Jr. Rosa's husband (my Great Grandfather) is buried in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born in 1894 and died in 1944.
Edgar Ellis Mouser? Jonathan, I see you are maintaining a memorial for a Mouser in Kansas. This is a long shot, but I am trying to list Edgar Ellis Mouser into my tree. He was a Marine that went missing 15 June 1944 in Saipan. They believe he was from Merriam, Kansas. Any ideas?
67683360 Michael Lee Adams Hello! I was wondering if I could copy your photo of Michael Adams' marker to my family tree? Also, could you please check for an obit for him? I would appreciate it very much.
(#48402064) My name is Leslie McCracken Kenny. J William McCracken is my uncle. My father was Edmund Earl McCracken was his brother and I would like to take over his find a grave site. I am working on getting all our family members. Thanks leslie
RE: Ella Weaver Jonathon, my name is Myra (Sulentich)Dunne (also on Find a Grave) My mother Constance Weaver passed on 12/15/2010. I just now have been able to get into her account. I started my family connections around 2009. I did not even know that she was on this site. Found it purely by accident. If you would kindly add any photos you might have I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.
RE: Obits What you are saying makes sense to me but based on the Findagrave rules about obits, I'm not sure they agree with you.
Today I spoke with Dave Baker the editor at the Register-Guard Newspaper. He stated that the Register-Guard has no problem with us posting obit on the memorials. He also mentioned that newer obit are basically paid ads and the Legacy website takes them over and charges to view them.
At this point I don't feel that I have any more clarity on this issue, just various opinions.
RE: Obits I also like obits on the memorials. But I no longer keep them posted. Instead I leave this message:
Contact me for his obituary Eugene Register-Guard Newspaper 2 Jun 1988
That way those that want a copy can get it. I have been contacted by many people requesting copies of obits. I am in the process of deleting those I have already posted. I keep copies of them on my computer.
In a case like this where another contributor posted an obit, I copy it. Then I add a line to the above statement saying:
Original copy provided by John #3333
My request for the obituary to be removed is because I have learned that it is against Findagrave's policy to post them. I enjoy this hobby and do not wish to be banded from the website. I know that can happen because I have seen it done.
