I was born August 29, 1943 in Powell, Wyoming. I joined the US Navy in 1963 and spent 2 years in Southeast Asia in the Philippines and Vietnam. I then attended the U of Colorado for a year and a half under the NESEP program and was then transfered to Europe for 4 years, stationed at Rota, Spain. After that I was sent to Washington D.C. for 4 years. At that time I retired and attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, where I attained a BS in Mortuary Science. I owned and operated two funeral homes, one in Moline, Kansas, and the other in Sedan, Kansas, for 26 years. I retired from the business in 2001. I am currently residing in Wichita, Kansas, and am an accountant for Wal Mart Corp.|
I am married, the father of two daughters. I have traced my ancestry back several centuries and am still in the process of chasing down my brickwalls.
As a former funeral director, I find cemeteries fascinating and love to contemplate past lives and histories of the families there.
I am more than happy to make corrections and add relationship links but am curtailing (not stopping) transferring memorials due to growing misunderstanding of what Find A Grave is about by those discovering the site for the first time. The time members have put into their efforts working together and sharing information is not up for grabs based on same-name surname or lineage and I will not do any of these type of transfers.

Thank you for making the correction to Eliza Good Kygar, Del. A favor to ask of you - Could you link Mary Susan Harris Kygar (Memorial #23860815) to her husband William Henry Kygar (Memorial #16128282)? She was William's 2nd wife. Thank you! Diane
|Diane Wilson||Eliza Good Kygar|
Hi Del - Wonder if you could tell me if the death date on Eliza Good Kygar who is buried in Rose Dale Cemetery in Hewins, KS comes from the cemetery records or her gravestone. I have in her family file in my genealogy records that she died in childbirth in 1879. You have her daughter Mary listed as having died in 1879 which matches my records. Just curious if the cemetery and or her gravestone have Eliza's death as 1878. Thank you! Diane (Black) Wilson

Thank you for updating Emery & Laura Coonrod's memorials. While I'm not related to them directly, their descendants married into a family that I am related to. Thanks again!
