Bio Photo Hello! I'm a graver, an artist, baseball entusiast, and an active participator of American Civil War living history presentations.
Find-A-Grave is an excellent resource for determining one's heritage, family tree, and genealogy. Sometimes the smallest thread can lead to a successful path in defining someone's lineage instead of a dead end. (pun intended)

I would appreciate it if you would turn this site over to me. This is my 3rd great grandfather!

I loved your beautiful artwork!

William Owsley vs. John Boyle
I have mentioned this before but the portrait of Governor William Owsley of Kentucky is the one you have up as Judge John Boyle. To my knowledge there is no portrait of Judge Boyle unless it is in very private hands. The website https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Owsley has the same portrait there for Owsley. I see that you got it from the Gene Snyder Courthouse in Louisville. They may have it mislabeled there and need to know. I will try to reach someone there who can let us know about it. There is also a hall of Governors in the Kentucky Historical Society Building in Frankfort that has portraits of all the governors there.

Sorry, hit the wrong button.

Nathan's #18131841

The memorial for Catherine Ann Seymour Clark (1795-1873) will not come up. Can you shed some light on this?

Bug Holliday
Dear Mr. Guy:

I attempted to E-mail you today, but got a bounceback.

I would like to quote part of your *Fiind A Grave* biographical sketch on James Wear "Bug" Holliday. I plan to quote it in a footnote in a biography I'm working on, of William Ellsworth "Dummy" Hoy. Hoy and Holliday were
teammates, and Holliday made some public comments and infuriated Hoy (implying that Hoy was a cheapskate).

As best I understand, "Bug" was a nickname given to players with nervous, excitable, kooky personalities.

I was much impressed by the Flickr gallery of your drawings and paintings.

I have not yet been to Cincinnati, but as part of the "prep stage" for the book, I've been exploring its history and growth online. Hoy loved Cincinnati and made it his permanent home.

Enthusiastically,

Nathan Guilford
Nathan Guilford (1786-1854) buried in section 36 lot 38 is the son of Dr. Jonas Guilford (1759-1809) #22954242 and Lydia Hobbs (1760-1849)#22954252. He and his wife Eliza Wheeler Farnsworth had six children, one of whom is Apolline Guilford (1825-1876) #79055265 who married Pierre Clement Tetedous (1820-1870). I have noted that there are two Nathan/Nathaniel Guilfords with same dates and buried in same spot in the memorials, one is #788944062 but is the same person. Would you be so kind as to correct these records.

Private Andrew J. Crandall
Would you by chance know any more information regarding Private Andrew J. Crandall, b 1830, for whom you have a record, such as his parents or siblings? Thank you very much.

Jacob Hill memorial 44487912
Hi,
I am wondering what is your source for his birth place, and for his wife's name Barbara Beidenstein Hill, especially the "Beidenstein" part.

This is in my wife's family.
Thanks,
Geof

Charles Henry Turner
your Memorial I am wondering if its possible to be related to my family, would his mother be Elizabeth Turner Foster by any chance for his father charles Foster seem to match my family records but I amnot sure what his occuptation is and Charles Foster seem to be only one person in that area if he matches to Elizabeth Turner Foster then mother is also buried in same cemetery in 1850. I would love his obituary if anyone has it thank you :)
