|I'm the secretary treasurer of the Dora Cemetery Association. I'm interested in any information related to the Dora Cemetery located near Dora, Oregon. I'm currently taking pictures of all grave markers, restoring them, and recovering unused gravesites in the cemetery. I have a great personal connection to this cemetery as it is my family cemetery. I have spent more hours than you can count researching the people interred in Dora Cemetery. I would prefer NOT to transfer memorials from Dora Cemetery as I am constantly working on adding obituaries, links, and historical information. BUT I am perfectly willing to add information for you!!|
Remember YOU CAN ADD ANY MEMORIALS TO YOUR VIRTUAL CEMETERIES...you do not need to be the owner/manager. That way, you can still have all your family together, even if the memorial is maintained by somebody else!!!
You may be related to someone but so is someone else. I may be related to that person too. It is a small world. That is why I cannot transfer memorials in the Dora Cemetery at this time.
You can also contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

I am not the contributor of the other memorial...I was looking for info about the sole findagrave entry for that surname in Alaska when I noticed that there were 2 entries for the same person, but in different cemeteries...it happens. If you think yours was in the correct cemetery, did you delete it before contacting the other contributor? I sent them a message, also.
you have a death certificate for William Oddy on the memorial for Ellen Oddy.

Thank you, Ernie, for providing the memorial for H.T. McClellan. He is my great-great grandfather (Henderson McClellan). Would you mind transferring memorial ownership to me...#47589040? Thank you. Also, the photo posted was of his death certificate. Was there a gravestone marker? Thanks for any additional info you can provide.

True - lack of birth & death places is an interesting omission from an obituary. I actually met Roger's brother while at the cemetery. His brother is a caretaker and President of the Association that manages the cemetery. You probably noted that an "A" is engraved as a middle initial. That was a mistake by the engraver - they're considering having that filled and re-engraved with a "J" and if that doesn't look right, they'll check into adding a religious organization "badge" in that spot.

Hi there :-)
Thank you for posting Kim's headstone photo here.
I am not sure how or if you knew her or if someone asked you to do this ,but it means a lot .
I miss her .
Thank you so much for fixing death certif. photo!
Wonderful work you're doing at Dora Cemetery with the grave marker project. Every cemetery needs a group so dedicated.

Sorry to bother you, but the death Certif. image that was reposted isn't readable now, because it won't open to larger view. Image stays small.

Read your message. I see the headstone icon is gone, but now there is a portrait icon. Do you know if you selected "photo" category instead of "other" category in the drop down box?
