Hi James,

Regarding your note on Jacob Deringer, mem #41335855 in McElroy Cem., Hardin County, OH, it appears to me that that soldier's last name has a double-r (Derringer). The database shows the same military regiment and company, born in 1835, died Apr 23, 1906 but shows he is buried in Jackson Center Cem., Wyandot Co, OH, Jackson Twp., Lot 5, Grave 1.

Checking that cemetery on findagrave only shows a much older Jacob Derringer, mem #17654565, (born in 1801), but the inscription on the headstone shows J. Deringer.

Can you please clarify?

On behalf of my papa, I thank you! That was kind of you. I'm very proud of his service and all men & women who've served & continue to serve our country. This particular generation of men were so brave in their circumstances. I marvel at the stories I hear.

Mr. Cooper I see you left a message under my grandfathers grave info. Did you know him? I've done extensive research on his time in WW2 and a lot of records were destroyed in the 1977 fire. I would love more info if you have any. I was very close with him and named my first son after him but he never spoke of the war. I was also able to have the army send me his medals. I would love to hear from you. Thank you.

You had left a message on James Holton's page that he was the husband of Malinda Poe. Do you have any information on her? I am trying to connect her to her father Jesse Poe
Thank You
