|I have explored the history of my family for more than twenty five years. I am fortunate that my grandparents saved pictures, shared many stories and had an appreciation for the past. Credit also goes to Great Aunt Lucile for getting me started on serious research. It is a treasure hunt that never ends!|
I will be happy to transfer family members to you, if they are not a family member of mine.
April, 2012-- I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Rice Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri, based on the roster from 1974. I have added some that were overlooked in the roster, or were buried later. I tried to find information about every person, and hope I have made a meaningful tribute to each of them.
Winter, 2012-- Cousin Roberta McReynolds and I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Long Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri. Roberta also searched Missouri Death Certificates to document burials without gravestones. We believe we have photographed and added all stones with names on them to Find A Grave memorials.
Fall, 2014-- Roberta and I have completed grave photographs for Shiloh Cemetery, Dade County, MO.

|Gray Carpenter Church||Aunt Mary|
My bad--Aunt Mary was born in1902. In 1930, she was a school teacher I North Dakota. Good luck in your search. I'd love to know who our common ancestor is!
|Gray Carpenter Church||Aunt Mary|
Your great uncle is 10 years older then Mary and her brother Harry, but it's possible they knew each other. Aunt Mary never married and never had children. I'm not able to trace Aunt Mary's DNA, because I don't know of any living female relatives from her maternal tree. But if you have Skeens in your family tree, then the family resemblance could very well be true. I'll check the 1930 census and see where she was living at that time. Will write back soon.
|Gray Carpenter Church||RE: Skeen/ Carpenter family|
Hi, Cuz! Aunt Mary Carpenter had blue eyes and brown hair. I'm not sure about James Carpenter (who went by his middle name, Ed).
Would you like to exchange family tree info to see if we can find a common ancestor? My Ancestry.com user name is GrayChurch.
|Donna Atkinson||Last Name of Cassandra Davidson|
If you don't already have this information, she was a Dodson.
I am a descendant through Angelina Jane Carlock who was the mother of my grandfather.
If I have anything that might be of help, would be happy to share. I don't know Cassandra's parents however.
|nancy walton||Hutchinson Family|
Thank you so much for posting the information on the Hutchinson family. The personal notes that you have added make me feel closer to the family that I did not have the chance to meet.
|Joyce Snell||Homer & Helen Musgrove|
Thanks for the transfer. If further information is found for either, including Homer's son with his first wife, I will certainly add to their memorial pages.
|Joyce Snell||RE: Homer Musgrove|
If you would like to transfer both Homer and Helen's memorial pages to me, that would be great. I have more info I can add for Homer, not so much for Helen, but I'll do my best. Thanks.
|Joyce Snell||Homer Musgrove|
Find A Grave #148460880 Are you related in some way to Homer Musgrove. He is my ancestor my marriage. A small bio is on his memorial page, so am wondering if there is more info about his wife that is listed (Helen Hudson Musgrove). A son is also mentioned. He had a son with his first wife. This first wife is my ancestor.
|Pam B-F||Re: Martha Spivy Dodson|
Yes, thanks. I have used the Missouri record site in the past, and I had already seen the certificate for Martha after reading your info. I'm still doing a bit of research as the only Matthew close enough was born in 1812. That is only 11 years older than Martha. That Matthew is shown on several ancestry records as her brother. I'm sure we'll get it figured out. 😊 Thanks so much. Pam
