Thought you might like to look at Herman's page in the Alma Cemetery. I updated it and linked him to his parents. Now I'm wondering about his obit stating he was buried in the same cemetery with his parents and his two brothers. They're in Holy Family -- he's in Alma City. I know the large cemetery has many sections, so is the wording correct?

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties in Vermont. I have found you to be a contributor to several Find A Grave memorials for a few of these patriots. May I use these monument/marker photo's to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

I would be honored if you would transfer Carl and Elsie Larson (my 2nd great grandparents) to my care.
Thank you for taking care of these memorials all these years.
|Richard Hedrick||Elizabeth Phipps|
The narrative has Elizabeth married to Daniel Phipps but the spouse link is to Samuel Phipps. The Samuel link is correct and her maiden name is actually Elizabeth Hedrick....not Pringle.
Elizabeth Pringle Phipps
Death: May 1, 1903
Elizabeth (Pringle) Phipps was the daughter of John and Mary Ann (Cutright) Pringle. She and Daniel Phipps married on 1 August 1830.

Thank you for the transfer of Blanche's memorial in the Bennington Cemetery into our care. I have already added a short bio and look forward to the links of the children. You are appreciated! Nancy
|Steve & Cathy||RE: J B Retter|
The information that I have is that his middle name was BRAILEY (not Bradley). My source is my mother and sister's Family Sheet for J.B. Retter's parents prepared in 1976; unfortunately, I don't see a source for any of the information on the family sheet. I've been working in Family Search and only find records about him using his middle initial "B" but never a full middle name. I did find a possible John Brailey Retter on a Google search that shows a possible Ancestry.com hit but, since I don't subscribe to that website, I can't confirm it until I next visit my local Family History Center. Your question is certainly valid and, since I have found other names misspelled in my mother's research, let me suggest that we leave his name as "John B. Retter" for now, and I'll keep looking to see if I can find a source to verify his middle name. Better safe than sorry. Thank you for raising this question!
Can you check on cemetery records? I am wondering if this Carl Olson is my cousin. Do they list the parents on the cemetery records?

You transfered this one to LAOsbourn. Is she taking over some of the memorials you created?

I need a reminder of what my message was to you. Usually I save a copy, but in this case I can't find it.
In the meantime, my additional notes state that Zarilda Ingram(b1836-) was the sister of my GGgrandmother, Frances Ingram Romick(b1839-). I have Sara E Ingram(1844-1916), a sister of Frances; marrying Thomas Jefferson CASEBEER on 13 NOV 1864. Their offspring (including Ella B Casebeer) are as follows:
Ella B. CASEBEER
Anna G. CASEBEER
Lena F. CASEBEER
Grace M. CASEBEER
Charles G. CASEBEER
Nellie P. CASEBEER
So, this is about all I have. I don't know anything about the existence of a Sophrona (Sophie); or a Sarah that would have been 2 years old in 1860.
Anything you can do to clear up the confusion would be much appreciated. Thankyou again.
