Family history is something that has become very important to me in the last few years. Working on my family tree has become somewhat of an obsession lately. I can't bear the thought of my ancestors fading into the past, so I honor their memories here. Thanks for everyone else here who does the same!
I hear ethereal whispers, persuasive,
soft and still, "Daughter, if you don't
remember us, who will ?"

Thank you for you amazing work here and on Ancestry.com! Thomas Jefferson Nicholson is my 3rd great grandfather. I have a LOT of family down in Pike County cemeteries. I'd love to get down there and meet you some time.
Best Regards, Cheryl Anne Smyth

Hi Tony. I found a record I believe you added to find a grave for Lonnie Logan Hargrove. It shows his wife was Zetta B Hargrove. Is this a calculated relationship or do you know they are related? I have been digging for quite some time on the Hargrove side of my family. According to my living Great Aunt, Lonnie Hargrove was the brother to James Charles Hargrove (my GGF) and Lonnie was married to Laurie Mae. My Aunt did not mention an additional wife. I am wondering if this is the correct Lonnie I am looking for or if the calculated information could be incorrect. Thanks in advance if you can help!

Hope they are what you needed! You are very welcome!
Yes. All names are now shown and the cemetery is badly overgrown with bushes and some posion ivey. I asked my sister in law to tell her brother who is married to a Young Davis decendant about the condition of the cemetery.

Hey Tony, Do you have more specific directions, I would be glad to help, but nobody has heard of it....

Do you have directions to this cemetery. I will do my best to fulfill photo requests.
Thanks, Lynn McCollum
Dora was born after the 1880 census was enumerated, and she married 14 Dec 1898. Thus, I don't believe she would have been included in a census with her parents. One option would be to pull a copy of her marriage record which might show her father. It is possible that her obituary might show her parents and/or siblings which from which you could back into her parents from that information. Both documents could be obtained through the Troy Public Library in Troy, AL. The only other option would be to possibly find her listed in an estate record if her father preceded her in death.
You're welcome Tony. You also have a photo request in for Mary Walker, buried at Bear Marsh. I did not see a marker with that name. It's a small cemetery and I am in the area very regularly, so I'll take another look and possibly talk to the pastor to see if there are any church records regarding who is buried in the cemetery.

Hi Tony. You are welcome. Maplewood is a very large cemetery and not nearly completely documented yet. I've already added 150 memorials and I'm only halfway down my list. I will be making many more trips to the cemetery so I'm sure I'll get the other photo you have requested at some point. Keep an eye on your messages.
