RE: Buried
I didn't know he died, I know he went to live with his daughter I really liked him, we would set for hours at his home and talk about the Solomons, I did find out I am DNA related to him,..we have two other connections as well, he was a supper nice man, you live in Halifax county!? I live in the county next to it between Martinsvillle and Danville off 58
Do you know if his wife is still alive? We use to talk about their life,..I felt sad for him,..
Thank you for getting back with me,
Nancy Ann Salmon

Perryman Wilkins is buried on the old Solomon homestead, I know because I have been out there with Weldon Solomon who lives there, he told me that there were many graves there in front of their house, they had to fill in many times, at one time over 40 graves there without head stones, this and a couple more had stones, they replaced them once they found out who they were, Perryman was in the war that is why he has such a big stone, let me know if you want more info,..

William Rufus Wilkins
Thank you for the great work in posting such nice and clear shots. Question, is there a highway or road/street location for the site of William Rufus Wilkins tombstone? I was trying to find the listed cemetery and not having any luck. Please email me at if possible.

Thomas Owen 104161195
Do you know if this Thomas Owen is related to Thomas W. Owen who is shown on the 1860 Federal Census (Family #199 - Mecklenburg Co.)?

Blalock, A W - Garrett Cemetery

Betty B brought to my attention today this is a duplicate cemetery of one I'd created in December 2012, the Maria Garrett/Blalock Family Cemetery as listed in the late 1930's WPA cemetery survey. I'd like to see these two consolidated for the sake of accuracy. Please email me directly at .
