I live in Chicago, Illinois and am working on records for my father's and mother's families primarily. |
I enjoy taking photographs of grave sites for photo requests. My priorities are sites with a location provided then by request date. Many places have requests that are several years old. You are welcome to use any of the photos I post as you wish. Requests for photo files or transfers are welcome. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the edit tab on a memorial.
Please provide a location in the cemetery for your photo request. Contacting the cemetery is usually successful at obtaining a location. Info about the presence of a grave marker may also be available and is helpful. Locating unmarked graves can be very difficult.
If you want a photo of mine removed from your memorial, or have higher quality photos than the ones I posted, please feel free to post them, then let me know, and I will remove mine.

thank you for your concerned note...as you can see by my response I understand the challenge of finding the location for a photographic request absent a specific location...the thing is that I removed my request for a photo apparently over a year ago...since this grave is difficult to find...But since I did not post this photo request I feel whoever did should be responding to you...
It is helpful of you to be ta king photos...

Hello...thank you so much for your request concerning his grave photo.it's a huge cemetery and his death rec is listed under nickname. I apologize for your efforts and shall remove that request until I can get family member in nearby town to get there for a photo.
APPRECIATE YOUR WORK ON THIS.

I am covered in shame. I just realized I had not responded to your efforts to locate Calman and Carrie Martin as requested. I so appreciate your efforts on my behalf, and seek your forgiveness in such a delay in expressing my appreciation.

Greetings from Oklahoma, thank you for the information regarding needing a location for Gail Wards grave that I requested last year. I did call the cemetery today and received the location (section, lot, grave) and added it to her memorial with the cemetery map outlining her location. I also deleted my request and posted it again with a note. Again, thank you.

Many, many thanks for the very fine photos you have added to my 2nd great uncle's memorial page (James Somerville Gillespie) along with his wife, Anna W. Gillespie and daughter Frances Gillespie Johnston buried in Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago. I so appreciate your time and your valuable contributions to Find A Grave.

Thanks so much again for taking a photo at Graceland! It's very much appreciated that you took the time to go out there and find the location of her unmarked grave and to document it so well.
Take care, all the best and hi to good ol' Chicago,

Thank you. Yes his sister, Jane married John Carson and they were my wife's great great grandparents.

I seek contact with the MAUS family, and want to know whether Frederick K. Maus was involved in moving 19th century rotunda panoramas (50 x 400=20,000 square feet, housed in their own rotundas which were 16-sided polygons). The F.W.Heine diaries 1879-1921 have many references to MAUS, but no first name. Chicago was the center of rotunda panoramas in USA, which in 1893 had 6 companies and 6 rotundas. Info to share.
