DUPLICATE MEMORIALS
=====================================
Before creating a memorial, please search THOROUGHLY for a prior entry. ORIGINAL creations can likely be found by a general search, using NAMES and ANY KNOWN DATES.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I find disposition information for an EXISTING, FIRST-CREATED, ORIGINAL memorial, I do the proper thing, and write to that memorial manager, and give them the information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial, and then having the gall to expect them to remove "their duplicate".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If there is aleady a memorial in place (regardless of disposition status), and we create another one, then ours is the duplicate, not theirs. I do not have the attitude of "Yay, I win, I found the grave first".

TRANSFER GUIDELINES / REQUESTS
=====================================
If your Transfer Request falls outside of the Guidelines, I once considered each on an individual basis (as a courtesy), but I have discontinued that because of a really bad experience with another "contributor".

Therefore, effective Sunday, July 17, 2011, NO OUT-OF-GUIDELINES TRANSFER REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED!

SUGGEST A CORRECTION

Click on the "Edit" tab on the upper right of the memorial, and then click "Suggest A Correction" to submit additional BONA FIDE details. information, and/or links to the memorial manager.

Please do not enter SAC information through "Leave A Public Message", on a "Photo Caption", or as a "Virtual Flower" on any of the memorials I manage.

There is an allowable 30 day time frame to act on SACs, so one notice to me is sufficient.

VIRTUAL CEMETERIES
=====================================
You may want to consider putting memorials in "Virtual Cemeteries", as they are great ways to keep folks "together".

Harold F Gentz
Hi Kathy

Thanks for the information. I did call the funeral home concerning Harold's burial arrangements and they informed me that Harold was cremated with the ashes going to the family.

I indicated the cremation on his memorial but left the final disposition of his ashes off. On recent deaths with most of the family still living, I tend to edit out more information especially if it wasn't in the obit.

How interesting to see that there is a burial site listed through the USDVA.

Thanks for the note...very gracious.

RE: Pvt Louis E Basta (#70269191)
So based on some research from my wife, it looks like Angelina (Scalzo) Basta married Patrick Scarpino in Sep 1945. This was after losing her first husband, Louis Basta, in 1942 and her son in Feb 1945. Interestingly, Patrick's first wife died during childbirth in 1944.

I added a memorial for Angelina and submitted an edit for Louis Jr to have her added as his mother.

Hi Kathy, you're welcome. Perhaps you could help me with something. I took a picture of his mother's stone as well. It reads Angela Basta Scarpino. I was going to create a memorial, but do you know how I would enter the name? Is Scarpino a maiden name?
