Likewise, it was nice to hear from you and glad you, your family and Larry are doing well. Of course I don't think you're a nut; David was your brother-in-law and therefore your family too! I think it's wonderful you added a remembrance for him in your tree. My cousins and I have been completing our geneaology for many years now. I have much history dating back to the 1600's so still working on the 19th century following the tree down methodically to keep track and haven't finished each of my grandparents even. If you'd like to stay in touch, just let me know. These posts are public on Find-A-Grave.
I'm pretty sure you have Ida Pate in the wrong cemetery. I found both COD in Ancestry & they have Ralston as burial place. I've worked on Eastside for almost 2 years now & haven't came across her headstone or burial records at Eastside. You might want to move her memorial to Ralston Cemetery to be correct. I have added the COD information for you to see. I hope this information helps & I will see If I can find out more in archive papers.
Thanks, Mike Rea

Sherwood Smith I am tracing my lineage, and have a Sherwood Smith, born in Montgomery, NC., and died in Gibson County, TN. I have found information of a transaction of his dated 3 Jun 1840, in Carroll County, Tennessee. I saw that you stated that a Sherwood Smith #46434585, was your 5th great grandfather. My information states mine married Lucy Cooper, and he would be my 4th great grandfather. Is this your Sherwood on Find A Grave?
