Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from a life in business, reserve law enforcement and college teaching. I live in Portage, Michigan, with my wife Vicki and my border collie, Abbey. I have been doing genealogy for my family since 1965.

I will be happy to make additions to a memorial for you if you go through the Find-a-grave procedure.

I will also transfer memorials if the person is a relative and IF YOU GO THROUGH THE FIND A GRAVE EDIT PROCEDURE, "SUGGEST ANY OTHER CORRECTION OR ADDITION."

A 'please' and 'thank you' will go a long way toward expediting your request. I cannot believe how many people ask for my assistance without this common courtesy.

I have no sentimental attachment to the photos I take in cemeteries and you are free to use them for personal or genealogical uses.

Jack

Celina & William Douglas
Thank you so much for transferring the Celina & William Douglas memorials to me. You do so much for this site just wanted to let you know that is is very much appreciated. I am originally from Kalamazoo, born and raised there, now in the Carolina's, so I don't get up to MI that often.
Thank you again

Ida and William Gillette
Thank you, Jack, for transferring Ida and William's memorials to me. I really appreciate it. I see you live in Portage MI. We lived there for about 10 years in the late 70s and 80s, and moved back there after retirement to live in the Garden Lane Apartments. I taught school at Lake Center for lots of years. Good memories of Portage. We still have friends and family living there.

Hello, Jack! Just in case you are related to Simeon, I wanted to let you know that I think I have finally found all of his children and have either made memorials or sent edits to have them all connected to the parents. Have a happy week!

Oak Grove Cem , Lawton MI pictures
Thank you so much for all of the pictures of Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton MI. . On Jan 1, 2016 my 101 year old mother Alice Hawkins passed away. I used your picture of my late dad's stone with her name on it to help the funeral home find the plot. On the day of the funeral, looking around the cemetery was a genealogy lesson for my family. Grand parents, great grandparents were there going back to Timothy Burr Hawkins 1840-1914 , were there and the pictures you took of all the stones made them easy to find. What a gift to our family!!
