Bio Photo Jim and Sue Carnathan
I am retired military and moved to Billings Mt. in 1999. Since that time we have both worked here and I now work for USPS. I have been doing family tree research for both sides of our family since Dec. 2010 and have found findAgrave very helpful in not only putting headstones with those family members that don't have pictures but also with research of family name spelling changes. I use the headstones as the best source of last names. I love traveling around Montana in my spare time to help find headstones of loved ones that people are looking for.

Wow! Thanks for the photo- it confirms for me the spelling of the last name and I see that George, Anna and their son Edson were all buried together.

After seeing Edson's name, (and discovering his burial hadn't been documented) I made him a memorial page. Would you be willing to upload that photo to his page as well? His# is 166220209.

Thank you for your efforts, they are greatly appreciated!

More on Quinn
Jim...after reading your bio I thought you might have special insight into another Quinn. James McGranor Quinn lived an unusually long life, 1892-1991. As far as we know, he died in Billings on the 18th of December, 1991. His wife, Bessie, died there in 1986. They had two daughters: Marjorie and Donna Jeanne. I would think they would be buried right there beside James Minter and Anna...did you perhaps notice a more modern Quinn burial close by James Minter Quinn and Anna McGranor? Seems like living to 99 would have generated an obituary for James McGranor Quinn but a search of your newspaper didn't reveal anything that old. Maybe your library has scanned all the newspaper issues but haven't inquired as yet. My last resort would be to order a death certificate from the state for burial clues. If you might give me a little advice as to what I should do next I'd be very appreciative. Thank you again for the work that you do!

Quinn photos
Hello Jim...and thank you so much for the two Quinn photos. The burial entries are enhanced so much by a photo and I know it isn't easy to get a clear shot. Those of us who live far away are so fortunate to find volunteers like you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get that photo. It's always important to confirm the burial location, as well as give descendants the opportunity to honor them.

Thanks for the great photo! Would you like to add it to her husband, Burleigh? I can do a formal photo request if that is what you prefer. Also, I am always willing to help add memorials if additional family is found by a photographer's leg work. You let me know. Much appreciation!
