I have two daughters, my sister had one son who has four kids, my brother Joe had one son who had two sons (one who took his own life @ 17 yrs). I have only one granddaughter..I was hoping for more. My granddaughter's first husband died 3 months after their wedding. Fortunately, she's married again to a wonderful guy. Yes, Asahel had a brother, Rollin, that's how how I found Asahel's parents. We are descendants of Aaron Burr by way of his first cousin, Ebenezer Burr. Our ancestors also go back to earlier than the revolutionary war! Lots of stuff in my grandmother's trunk..going to get it soon.

It's nice to know I have a cousin. I'm the last of my generation..My sister and brothers as well as a cousin (Milligan) whom I grew up with have all passed. I do have three younger cousins (Milligans) but almost a generation separates us. We're friendly but not close.

Another wife for George, Flora. Flora was mother to Xoe and Xillon. My grandmother's real name was Flora Xoe Johnson. So this makes three wives for George, Flora, Gertrude and Ella. Very good looking family I must say.

It looks like George was married twice, his gravestone has Ella j. Johnson (1876 - 1943) buried with him. Don't know anything about her.

Oh Lord I'm so screwed up. Roger was born in 1910 to Gertrude, George's wife. Gertrude died in 1910. So Jenny did take care of Roger. Ignore all that stuff about Asahel and Elizabeth in my previous message..the historical stuff is driving me nuts!

I was wrong again, it WAS Roger who Jenny took care of. Asahel had two spouses, Elizabeth who gave birth to all of the children except Roger. The second wife was Gertrude who gave birth to Roger. Roger was born in 1910 and Gertrude died in 1910. The strange thing is that Elizabeth died in 1925! What was Gertrude doing with Asahel while Elizabeth was still alive?? And why is Elizabeth buried with Asahel???

Roger always had a wife with him. I met him about three times in the 60's and it was nearly 20 years when I saw him again. Whether or not he had the same wife, I just don't know. I'm the last of my family who knew Roger..so I have nobody to ask.

My mistake, it wasn't Roger Jenny took care of, it was Xillon. It's because Xoe and Xillon's mom died shortly after Xillon was born. Xoe was still in school and had to quit in order to take of the home. That's when Jenny swooped in. I wish I could tell you more about Roger. My grandmother my came to Chicago, when she was 16 so her mom must have passed a few years before.

Hmmm. Since he died around Thanksgiving, 1984, It
had to be Thanksgiving, 1983. He was very very ill.
