"Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you."

|dandy lion||RE: Locke transfer|
If you have something to add to the memorial, please send it on the Edit tab.
|dandy lion||Locke transfer|
Lizzie, when the memorial was transferred to me, the previous manager forwarded your previous request where you stated he was your "2nd Great Grandfather", not "great grandfather" as you claimed in your most recent request. I will also ask the admins to add a note to the memorial that it is not eligible for transfer.
No headstone is seen for Maggie, Frederickk, or Tenie Taylor, but you may wish to contact the cemetery to see if a stone was actually placed, or if it is hidden from view, as sometimes happens especially with flush stones.Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415
See caption of photo.

I'm sorry I can not link his memorial. You need to ask the contributor that created that memorial.
I can only link spouse and parents not children

I have been photographing headstones in St Mary's cemetery. I have come across a lot of Martin's in Section L none of them match the ones you are looking for but they have some names in common. So far I have found the following:
Alice Martin Cunningham 127328359
Anna K Martin 127060017
Charles A Martin 127060018
David M Martin 127060021
Edward J Martin 127060022
James B Martin 127328537
Jennie M Martin 127060020
Margaret Martin 127060019
If I come across any others I will let you know.

|S. Walker||RE: Mary Louney Townley Chase at Ancient Cemetery|
Hi Liz; It's possible that Town of Yarmouth records or historical reference materials might indicate that the burial is in fact in this cemetery. I would guess that the profile manager got the information from a source such as that. Existence of a tombstone is another matter. Its quite common to have a known burial site with no tombstone in place to mark it. After all, this particular death was quite a long time ago...maybe the stone fell apart years ago and maybe there never ever was one. The work I referenced was a transcription undertaken in 1906 on tombstones in the cemetery which dated 1851 or earlier. The 29 CHASE members found in Ancient Cemetery on FindAGrave all died after 1851 and were therefore not included in that work. There are no other cemeteries by that name in this particular town, so I would guess that the burial was in fact probably in Yarmouth Ancient Cemetery, but no tombstone exists. Hope this helps.
I was reviewing info on Mem 25161686 for Hugh Buckingham Locke and noticed that the link for Nellie Locke (1883-1890) goes to Mem 25161669. However, the DOB and DOD do not match to this Nellie Locke (1851-1913). Thought you may want to know.

Wow, that's really interesting, so we are very distant cousins. My family married into the Blish family in 1717. Small world...
I will definitely keep looking for your family. I'm sidelined right now from a groin pull, I think I got from stepping in a hole at a graveyard...
I didn't think it would be hazardous, but it IS fun.
