I have been working with my sister on our family genealogy and helping her with the local historical group work she is involved in. I find it very interesting.

Hi there: I see you are Dale's kin, and was wondering if you didn't want to manage Dale's,Janice, and her mother and her mother's 2 husbands site on FindAGrave here. If so, send me a message on my e mail and asking for a transfer for you to take over and I will go ahead and transfer them over to you, as you probably have more of the family you have found and then will be able to link them all together. as I could not find Janice's mom and dad's grave site to link her mother to her mom and dad and you probably have that. o.k my e mail is clenora63@yahoo.com. I only copied what I found in the newspaper out of the Lassen county times, is where I got the information that is on both of Dale and Janice's sites. Hope to hear from you soon. Lenora. Vicki's step mother.

RE: Sylvanus Ferris
There are cemetery records available. Not sure how complete though. Next time I go to Kewanee, I will stop and look thru their book on the Wethersfield Cemetery.

Thanks,

Rognliz

Sylvanus Ferris
I looked but I couldn't find a tombstone for Sylvanus Ferris. The Frances Ferris tombstone was broken and laying flat on the ground. Maybe his tombstone is missing or also broken and could be covered by dirt. Next time I go to the Wethersfield Cemetery I will take my probe I use for locating tombstones that have been covered up. I will at least try and see if I can find it.

Thanks,

Rognliz

RE: Louisa Stevens, Oak Hill Cememtery
Hi Sharon,
Glad to help and to hear you were pleased. I have some questions if I may; are Charles and Patty related to Louisa Stevens and were you aware of their grave sites being next to Louisaís? Please donít feel any obligation to respond; itís just that Iím curious. Since becoming what Find-a-Grave calls, a Volunteer Photo Taker, Iím finding this type of situation more and more common. That is, Iím finding other head stones engraved with the same last name in close proximity to the grave site for which I was searching. And as I said, it raises my curiosity and my hopes that I may have helped a fellow genealogy seeker find additional information about their family. Be Safe, Michael Stock San Jose CA

Hi Sharon,

Our 2nd great grandfathers apparently were cavalry men together in the Civil War. I've sent the transfer over. My 2nd great Grandfather was August Joseph Mautz, finagrave memorial 32179649.

Best wishes to you and happy ancestor hunting!
