Update 2013: I need to address an issue that is becoming a problem on here. I am receiving hundreds of emails...(really at least 100 per day) requesting transfers, linking family members, or updating information.|
People I am a volunteer, this is my hobby. My personal life comes first. I am a student as well as working full time in the medical field. I am currently planing a wedding and being a mom to my 11 year old son.
Please send your request and give me some time, yes it may take a month or two for me to sit down late at night to tackle the emails but I am trying.
Your badmouthing me and threats to duplicate the sites are childish....Leave a comment on the page if you want share your changes right away.
To me knowledge is power, and you can get really far if you share your information, that is why I love entering people on FindAGrave. This is one of the best sites I have found and the site I use most often when searching for family members. My goal is to share as many obituaries and tombstone markers that I can. If any one would like to contact me with questions or comments I welcome them. Thank you for viewing my profile page and Good Luck in your search.
I am more than willing to update and/or add family links. Please send me the person and the numbers of the family members that you would like them link to! A big thank you to Find a Grave for making this feature!
If you are requesting a transfer of the memorial please provide your Relationship to that person... if your relationship is closer than mine than you will receive the memorial. Name collectors need not apply...I to have put in a lot of hard work to just let some one else have credit.

If you are not related could you tranfer John and Docia to me
I like what you have to say and agree that people think all we do as volunteers is that. Your life sounds quite busy indeed !! I did ask for a transfer today of my husband's sister-in-law, Margaret Law McBride, memorial 16713884. How I see it is she is not going anywhere and I know that you, like me, lead a busy life. Thanks for all you do and will look forward to the day when you do have some spare time, until then I have plenty to do.

I think this site is so AWESOME! I found my uncle Buck. He stayed with us for a while after my mother's sister died. They are buried together.
I was really young but I remember him well. Thank you so much. I'm looking for a picture for Johnny Hensley Donegan's Grave. He died April 1964 in Dickson TN, Donegan cemetery. I found some information but I"d really like a picture of the grave plot. Thank you again.

|mas||transfer of four (4) additional family members|
Asking for a transfer of four (4) additional family members in order for us to maintain meaningful, accurate memorials. Or, I can, again, ask Find A Grave Admin for assistance. Of the 60-70 Union Cemetery Memorials I created (now gone – instead, showing you as creator) these are the last family memorials we wish to maintain. The remainder of our extended family and close friends, I originally created - you can have… I've worried myself enough already over the lost of all my work and the lost of the original family memorials, I created so long ago (I still have the original numbers and dates of when those memorials were created) and what happened to them. So, it's now up to extended family members and others whether they chose to care for their love ones Memorials or not…

Did you know Frankie Pernell? I was searching for Frankie for one of his buddies that served with him in Vietnam. I know he served in Vietnam with the 2/14th Infantry 25th Inf Division in 1967. I will call his buddy tomorrow and see if he has a poicture for Frankies memorial. Thank you for all you do on find a grave...Denis McDonough I served with the 1/5 Mech,25th Inf Division in 1967.
|mas||Request Transfer Following|
Asking you to do a transfer, to me, of our family (see below five (5) memorials… we would like to manage and maintain these memorials - to have meaningful, accurate memorials.
If you have a loving concern for genealogy you will make the transfers allowing us to manage these memorials while your "Created by" and "number records created" remain.

Transfer greatly appreciated…
What if a member will not transfer my relative to me?
If the memorial in question is a direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents) to you and the original submitter is not direct family, then your wishes supersede theirs under our "Family First" policy. If they refuse to transfer your relative to you, contact the administration and we will work on it for you.
Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to Find A Grave, and it is highly likely that some of those contributors will actually be part of your family tree and share some of your ancestors.
Also, the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
